Tape It

A quick card for you today using the Tape It set.

  • Get the look of washi tape with a stamp!  The Tape It set has a great variety of patterns with 'torn' ends...just like washi.
  • Stuck on a colour combination?  I took my colour combination inspiration from the colours in the Watercolour Wonder DSP.
  • For a fun sentiment I chose the Happy Birthday from the Bring on the Cake stamp set.

Tag a Box - Pretty Packages

I have been making a gift box for a friend's birthday and the Tag a Bag Gift Boxes were the perfect solution.

They are handy to have stashed away and then pull out when needed.  And they are soooo easy to embellish.

One of the great advantages of being a demonstrator is that you we have access to so many resources to inspire our projects.  I was part way through making this project when I joined a Live Stream event on YouTube run by Stampin' Up! which gave us heaps of ideas for decorating these boxes.

The Tag a Bag accessory kit comes with tags, pegs and Baker's Twine.  Below you can see that I have run the Crushed Curry Baker's Twine through the Summer Starfruit ink and added a peg to keep the tag in place.

The ready made tag had a Crushed Curry edge which I coloured over with my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker.

Why not give the acetate sleeve a bit of texture?  I have run this one through the Big Shot using the Decorative Dots Textured Embossing Folder FREE during Sale-a-Bration.

Makes a pretty little package, don't you think?

Note Cards in a Box

Each year as part of our class schedule we make a set of 7.5cm by 7.5 cm cards in a box.  The ladies end up with a beautiful set of cards to use or give as a gift.

This year we used the half size wood mount cases to store our card set in.  These little plastic containers are so reasonably priced and sturdy.

We made a divider for inside to keep the cards in a stack and to create a place for a small pen.

All up we made 6 cards using a variety of stamp sets and background DSP.

Crystal Effects once again

I run a Drama group at the local school.  Last year the Year 7s ended up being referred to as "Elders" as they led by example.  This year I have lots of kids asking, "Am I an Elder now?"

It's not a title to automatically bestow so I decided to make it a little more formal by making these badges which will be awarded to the deserving kids.

Crystal effects is the magic ingredient to finish these off.  Just like a bought one!
