Pressed Petals Washi

Pressed Petal Washi Tape

This class was the perfect combination of cards and tags, using the Pressed Petals Washi Tape from Stampin Up ®  This tape is so much fun to play with and the results are beautiful.

These two cards above, used Whisper White, and Basic Black card as the background. I wanted to explore how the petals looked individually and designed this in portrait mode so that the petals seemed to be falling down the card. We used the Faceted Gems for the centre of the flower, and Wink of Stellar, on the main flower and sprinkled across the cardstock.  It gave the flowers a dew kissed look.  Everyone needs a Wink of Stella!

The card above is inspired by a design by B J Peters.  We used Crumb Cake cardstock, with the top layer passed through the Scripty Embossing Folder. The white embellishment and leaves are cut from the Flourish Dies.  The centre of the flower is one of the  Perennial Essence Floral Centres. These delightful little fuzzy centres are self adhesive and you can also colour them with your Stampin' Blends!

This card above is another adaptation of another demonstrator's design - this time Susan Campfield.  We used the Brick and Mortar 3D Embossing Folder, another cut-out from the Flourish Dies  using Merry Merlot cardstock, and leaves punched out of Shaded Spruce using the Leaf Punch.  The Bricks and Mortar 3D Embossing Folder is amazing - such detail and depth.

The last set were two Crumb Cake tags, which also used the Very Versailles Stamp set, one in Soft Suede ink and the other in Mossy Meadow. The trim on the top is the new Scalloped Lace Trim.

These tags were a direct CASE from Linda Dalke an Australian Demonstrator who has made an excellent video explaining how to assemble the flowers.

Blends Club Round 2 - Part 2

Blends Club

Stippling Technique

We met for Round 2, Class number 2 to focus on the stippling technique, using Stampin' Blends from Stampin Up ®.

Many of Stampin Up's images have a shaded or stippled area which gives the perfect guide as to where darker shade is needed. The camera from the "Capture the Good" set, above is the perfect example. We added dots using the bullet tip end of the dark Pretty Peacock , then blended with the lighter shade. Depending how much you blend, the dots can be left to show up or blended in.  The other camera was coloured using Lovely Lipstick.

The gift tags above, used the "On to Adventure" stamp set.  I loved these cute characters,  which really ARE such characters.  We again used the Pretty Peacock shades for the clothes, and shaded around the characters in Seaside Spray, to make them pop.

If you are interested in trying out Blends, come and join us.   My classes are held in my home in Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast, Australia.
