Pleased as Punch DSP - a coordinating product

Stampin' Up! ® has released a range of coordinating products this month designed to make us fall in love with even more products.

My favourite to play with so far has been the Pleased as Punch DSP.  The colours and designs are gorgeous.  As with all things Stampin'Up! they are designed to coordinate coordinate coordinate!

Each sheet is designed to be punched out using different punches.

Koala Cuteness

It's that time of year when my blogging gets slack because I am teaching ESL to visiting Japanese students.

So it's also the time of year that we make our koala brooches.

This one is made by Shizuna - she added the eyelids - so cute!

 

And she also fiddled around with the scrap cardstock and the punches and made her koala a baby!  So extra cute.  Of course we had to put a brooch back on it as well.

 

 

There are so many things you can make in Punch Art using our huge range of punches.  And Crystal Effects is the wonder product that gives these their shiny finish.

Monstrous Effort

Here's one of the cards we made at class last week in our stamp-a-stack.

I saw a similar idea on Pinterest and knew it would be perfect for this class.

No stamps...just punches...

Easter Bunny

If I were to search back to when I started my blog I would find a bunny like this one. 

He is so cute and easy but I have never made him for a class, so we made 11 of him (or a her) last week.  He consists of some simple punch art put together on the lid of an Ikea Spice Jar.  The googly eyes are essential I think - available from Riot or Spotlight.  Some sponging with Soft Suede ink helps to give him some 'fuzz'.

And on his little behind....

A tail made using the Boho Blossoms punch.

He is the perfect size for some mini Easter Eggs.  Two of these little cuties hopped to school on the last day for teacher gifts.

Olive Ewe

 

Sometimes I think I spend more time on Pinterest pinning card ideas than I do making them!  But today is a creative day.  I saw this as a free printable on Pinterest and knew I had to try it with punch art.

I loved the simplicity of the design... so here's my version

 



The sheep is the same design as I used for my sheep brooches which can be found HERE.

 

Plenty of white space gives a clean design and focuses on the sheep.

 

A teeny border of Old Olive around the white brings the design together.

 

I played with a couple of layouts, shifting the text and the heart around.  The sentiment is computer generated.
