The Earrings!

I have had a few people ask how I made the earrings that I wore at Onstage for Stampin' Up!s® 30th anniversary.

They were really easy to whip up - I made three pair; two for team members.

So here goes:

Use the RETIRING! Large Numbers Framelits to cut your numbers.  Remember if you are making earring for a 21st, for example, you need two sets of numbers not one.  (Yup!  Made THAT mistake!)
You need to cut a set in Glimmer Paper and then a bunch in white - I used the white cardboard that comes in the back of the DSP packs.  Whisper White would do; Thick Whisper White would be even better.

Punch two circles out of Acetate Sheets using the 2 1/4" circle punch.

Using a thin smear of Tombow liquid glue, layer the white numbers on top of one another.

This will give your number dimension - like chipboard.

Adhere your glimmer number on top. You'll have a nice thick number.  Do the same with your other numbers.

Use Tombow to adhere your number to the acetate circle.

See how good the thick numbers look??

Punch a small hole at the top of your acetate card.  I added two split rings (from Spotlight) for extra 'dangle' and then an earring hook - also from Spotlight.

If you want the Large Numbers Framelits they are retiring and are available while stocks last.  Come June they will be gone.

Large Number Framelits #140622 $54

 Silver Glimmer Paper #135314 $8.75

Birthday Craft Ideas

My boy is 16!!

I can't believe how quickly that happened!!  Of course, I had to give him a hand made card. Let me show how Stampin' Up! helped celebrate Zac's birthday.

Zac's card is made using three of the In Colors - Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst.  This card was quick to put together using the Large Numbers Framelits.

These Framelits are the perfect size for card fronts and are easy to cut out using the Big Shot.  They are a fantastic investment at $54 because they can be used to individualise birthday and anniversary cards for years!  They are such a popular item!

If you find this type of die cut fiddly to adhere, the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets are a perfect extra.  They have a peel off backing, and adhere to your card stock then another backing can be peeled off once the shape is cut off.  Adhering the numbers is a cinch once you have used these sheets.

The other crafty touch to Zac's birthday presents was this little gift card holder.  He requested a record player for his present and was probably expecting a bigger one than this!

We wanted him to have a choice in the type/style of record player so I made a gift card holder using the Mini Pizza Boxes.
.

A little Wink of Stella helped add some shine to the record.

Inside was a mini record sleeve....

And the record was...

I love these Mini Pizza Boxes.  They are, as the name suggests, 'mini' which means it's easy to give something special without it having to be a large or expensive gift.

This sample was one of the projects we made at my catalogue launch.  Wouldn't this cute box with a chocolate and a tea bag make someone's day??

If you are interested in crafting I can come to your place and run a party or a class for you and a group of friends.  It's a great way to relax and mingle while using the creative side of your brain to create cute projects.

Numbers Numbers

Just a quick post to gush about how handy a set of number dies is.

I made this card in record time for my son's friend.  I didn't even stamp the numbers, I just headed straight for the Large Numbers Framelits to cut out the 15.

I added a Real Red layer under the Emerald Envy striped, just to give a touch of other colour and then picked it up further by adding Real Red Enamel Shapes.  These shapes are a must have for adding that little extra something to a card.

Don't forget our next class - a technique class using the Beautiful You stamp set.  We'll be exploring masking, paper piecing, watercolouring, the mirroring technique.  You'll take home five individually crafted cards for $20.   AND...you'll have a fun time.

Don't forget that for every $90 you order until the end of March, you can choose a Sale-a-Bration item for FREE.  There are beautiful stamp sets, a fab card tin, ribbons, DSP.    Here's a reminder of what's on offer!  Plus THREE NEW items are coming February 21st!

Thanks for stopping by!  If you want to order, join, sign up for a class, ask a question or come and stamp with me email me at wheatonanna@hotmail.com or phone me on 07 55 765469.

Happy New Year! A new set of numbers!

Hi everyone!  Wishing you a Happy New Year!  I hope 2017 brings you plenty of health and happiness and of course, time to make and send cards!

You know how sometimes you don't get Christmas cards in the mail for everyone?  I have two friends living overseas and I know that I missed the deadline for Christmas mail for them.  So rather than send nothing, I opted for new year's cards.  (I will find any excuse to send a card!)

These cards use Large Numbers Framelits and the 'Happy' is from the co-ordinating Number of Years stamp set.

And then I decided to send some happy 2017 cards to local people too!  Tucked in behind those numbers if the Festive Textured Embossing Folder....and festive it is!

If you missed my last post, I featured a number of cards (pun intended) using the Number of Years set and framelits.

You can check them out HERE.

My class schedule for the next few months is UP!!  If you want to see what lies ahead, click HERE.  You can even RSVP through the site.
