It's a wrap with our DSP

I found the perfect gift for a friend of mine that needed wrapping.  Stampin' Up!s DSP came to the rescue to add elegence to the presentation.

It's a 'what the heck'/just because kind of gift so the 'Hello' sentiment was perfect.

I created a simple co-ordinated card in an instant just by using a small piece of DSP and a little punched flower.

And the card tucks neatly into the ribbon.

Stamps:  Elementary Elegance (retired)
Card:  Love Letters DSP (retired), Whisper White
Ink:  Riding Hood Red
Tools:  Itty Bitty Shapes punches
Accessories:  Basic Pearls, Basic Black 3.2 mm Taffeta Ribbon

This DSP is so clever!

How often do you get to post a blog entry on the 29th of February??   I know I have never done it before. 

When I first played with the SAB DSP I thought it was designed to go with the Fresh Vintage stamp set, which it was!  But I have recently had a play with Elementary Elegance as you may have noticed in a previous post.  Did you notice the little birds?

They are repeated in a couple of the designs of the DSP and are teamed with Lucky Limeade and Pool Party.  I love these In colors - they are so fresh.

So here's a card using Lucky Limeade..

And here is another with Pool Party.

The striped texture in Pool Party was created using the Stampin' Up! Striped Textured Impressions Embossing Folder while the Lucky Limeade card uses the Polka Dot TEF.

A pretty quick card to put together.

SAB Elementary Elegance

This is one of the cards we made in our one layer card class using the Elementary Elegance Sale-a-Bration set.  I love Crumb Cake as a base and the subtle colours of the flower go rather nicely.

The key is punched out using the Jewellery Tag punch.  This was inspired by a card I saw on Monica Gale's blog.

And here is a variation inspired by Teneale Williams.
