In Colors are (almost) here

I have been having a play with a new stamp set, the new In Colors and the new ink pads.  Stampin' Up! is bringing out a firm foam stamp pad which great for solid image stamps.  The new catalogue has plenty of beautiful solid image stamps and the ink pads really are different to use.

This is a close up of Midnight Muse.  See how solid the colour is?

Crumbcake and Colour

Here is another card done at a recent Stamp-a-Stack, using some of the beautiful Mocha Morning Specialty DSP.  I saw this card on Just Add Ink, created by Tina Gillespie and loved the little splashes of colour.

It was a quick and easy card to put together - great if you want to whip up something at the last minute.

Some new mini swaps

I'm back!  Have been away on holidays and then enjoying some time doing very little.  My cardmaking mojo is back but I thought I'd share with you some cards that I received in a recent swap.

We have said a sad goodbye to the Summer Mini but been cheered up by the arrival of the Autumn-Winter Mini.  Below is a sample from the new goodies on offer.

I love this card - I love simple designs with plenty of white space.  This swap was done by a craft group (one lady coloured thirty of the pinatas!) and is a CASE of a card designed by Dawn Olchefske.

Fresh Vintage Alternative

The flourish from the SAB set Fresh Vintage is stunning but the smaller elements have plenty to offer too.

Here are a couple of cards combining Pool Party with Cherry Cobbler.  Yum!  These colours show up well against the crisp Whisper White and trimmed with Whisper White Baker's Twine.
