Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Masks

Our new Stampin' Up!® mini catalogue goes live in a few days!  (January 4th)

One of my favourite products is the Butterflies and Flowers Layering and Decorative Masks.  These are so clever and are designed to overlay one another to create multiple layers in a design.

There are six masks in the set and they are a match made in heaven when teamed with our Blending Brushes.

If you peek inside the card above, you will see I have used one of the patterned masks in the corner - you can see the variety of patterns below.  And then....the other three masks work together to overlay one another for the most beautiful designs!!

Stuck for ideas?  Simply CASE the catalogue.  The two cards below are CASEd from the sample inside the catalogue.  I love both the blue and white backgrounds.
The flowers and leaves overlay to give dimension and are surprisingly easy to line up!

And you can mix up which one layer to use when creating your butterflies!

These are a must have in your craft stash!  They are $17.50 for the six masks (Item #158142)
If you live in Australia, you can shop with me! Click HERE to browse my online store.

And there are only a few days for the LAST CHANCE LIST.

Box of Hope - a new kit

We have been waiting for this kit for so long - shipping delays have caused its arrival to be postponed.

This is Shelli's Paper Pumpkin Box of Hope kit!  This kit has such beautiful colour combinations!  The perfect choice for a late Christmas present, a holiday project or just for fun!

Look at those envelopes!!

The Hope Box was made from the heart of Stampin’ Up! cofounder, Shelli. She wanted to create a kit full of hope, comfort, and connection. You can create the cards and spread positivity. As a bonus to this card kit, the box is designed to convert into a Hope Box. You  can make the box for yourself or share it with someone in need of encouragement. Create the Hope Box by decorating it with the components provided and filling it with items that embody optimism and positivity.

Team Celebrations!

The Lorikeet Stampers is my team name - when I chose my team name it was because I live in Lorikeet Lane.  But since then the symbol - the lorikeet feather has become a perfect representation of the joy and happiness I get from my team.

At our team meeting last week, I was able to celebrate a few of them who had achieved some goals!

First task is to wrap the gifts! I love this part!

I had a team member reach qualified recently and then advance to Bronze Elite!! All up I had three demonstrators reach BE in the past couple of months and two of them were at the meeting.  No body minds a photo when they are wearing their masks!!  Congratulations Loretta and Debbie and also Leesa to whom I will send a gift.

And I had some other team members have success with fundraising and a craft stall!

Look at these smiles!!!!

I used the "Create With Friends" stamp set for these tags - and it ended up being the first prize patrol of the morning! Perfect!

And "Peace, Joy and Kisses" as part of the Sweet Stocking set.

Baby Wipes for cardmaking!

Who knew that the humble baby wipe could be used in cardmaking!

In our August technique class we got inky with baby wipes and Stampin' Up!® products.

A folded baby wipe in a lid or plate becomes your ink pad.  For these cards we dripped a whole bunch of different colours (using reinkers) into a baby wipe. Then we used Watercolor Shapes to stamp a pattern of shapes onto our Basic White cardstock piece.  The results are a multicoloured pattern of patterns! Lol.

Have you seen our Spiral Die background stamp?

For this one we lay a two baby wipes on top of one another in the Stamparatus.

We 'drew' with our reinkers to form a multicoloured star pattern.  We then stamped our image into the pattern, removed the plate from the Stamparatus and stamped onto our card front.

While the baby wipe was set up we stamped the card below - the sentiment was added using Black Embossing Powder.

And lastly, we used the wipe as a wipe! By folding the baby wipe several times we created an 'edge' that we could drip ink onto and we wiped the edge onto or cardstock piece.

I hope that these cards inspire you to try the technique - I have discovered that you can buy biodegradable baby wipes too!

Working Bee

One of the things I like most about Stampin' Up! is that it is a vehicle to help others.

Last week we had a working bee to restock footprint cards for the Gold Coast Hospital.  These cards are used to record the footprints and premmie babies as a keep sake for parents and grandparents.

I am grateful to my customers and team who cut, die cut, glued and sewed these cards.

We also took the opportunity to make some Father's Day treat boxes and cards which will be delivered to Meals On Wheels to hand out.

I love that the cards say "Happy Father's Day Handsome"!

Here are the pillow boxes, now 'stuffed' with choccies!

Turtle and Friends

A quick post for you showing you a cute card using the Turtle and Friends Bundle by Stampin' Up!®

We have so many fantastic dies with stitching in them.  Myrtle (as I like to call her) is created using paper piecing and the Hand Penned DSP.

Behind her is the Stitched Greenery die which is fabulous!  Her clouds are from the Give it a Whirl dies.

To be honest, when I saw those clouds in a sample I wanted the Give it a Whirl dies just for the clouds!

Myrtle says thanks for dropping by!
