Pop Ups!

We had great fun in card classes this week.  Our focus was Pop Up and Shaker cards.

Our first Pop Up Card used a non SU! product - the Twisted Explosion die along with our ever-so-cute Cheerful Critters stamp set. 
(You can just hear them cheering for you!)

You would never suspect anything, looking at the front of the card...

But open it up and it reveals...

A pop up party!!!

Our second card was a complete CASE (Copy and Share Everything) from Kay Kalthoff, an American SU! demonstrator.  I tried to replicate her design with other stamp sets but ended up going with the same colours and stamps that she used as they were the perfect combo.

But open it up and it reveals...

A window into a pretty scene.  Kay calls this a pop out frame card.

One layout - 3 ways

I had cut a bunch of layers for a stamp a stack but then changed to another design at the last minute....so I had lots of card guts.

Rather than make the same card many times over, I brought in some other stamps.

This was the original card...based on a design by Kay Kalthoff.

Cheerful Critter Thank Yous

Here is a cute idea for some simple thank yous.  I made these for the ladies who helped assemble the Footprint Cards.

These little treat holders are designed like matchbooks and hold a little pack of M&Ms.

I coloured them with Blendabilities FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-a-Bration.  Each critter had an epoxy sticker somewhere on him/her.  Love these stickers.

They are super easy to make.  The cardstock piece is 2-3/4" by 7-1/4".  Score the long edge at 3", 3-1/2" and 6-3/4".  The M&M pouch is stapled into the short end flap, as pictured above.  Make sure your staple is not too far up - you need to be able to tuck the flap in.

Cheerful Critters

The more I use this set the more I love it!!!!!!!!

I like to have notecards on hand for writing a quick something to a customer or friend.  This time I have used the Cheerful Critters, Blendabilities and the Hello You Thinlits Dies.

The set contains three cheerful critters.  I think the bear is my favourite although I am trying not to let on to the rabbit and the chicken.

These were super quick to make. 

• The base is a coloured piece that is 1/4 of a cardstock sheet (14.8 x 10.5 cm).
• The Whisper White layer is 14.3 x 10cm.
• I stamped the critters using Memento Ink and lined up the chosen words in their signs, easy as pie with the photopolymer stamps.  For some I chose a star or a heart for their sign.
• Colouring in with the Blendabilities is almost too much fun.  The more I play the better I get.  AND you can get them FREE during Sale-a-Bration!
• The Hello and You are cut using the Hello You Thinlits dies through the Big Shot and stuck on using a 2 way glue pen.
• For a cute finishing touch use our Epoxy Stickers over punched out shapes.
