Happy Valentine's Day!

I actually gave hubby his Valentine card on Sunday.  Tonight he will be all alone while I am at the Bruce Springsteen concert.

I combined the Lift Me Up stamp set (for the balloons and clouds) with the Everyday Hero stamp set (buildings and flying me) for this little heart delivery.  I love it when you can combine a couple of stamp sets (and I think SU! know that we love that!)

As you look at the year ahead, with Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthdays and anniversaries, the Everyday Heroes set can be used for all sorts of occasions!  What about thanking a neighbour who is an everyday hero??

Some SAB Goodies

Valentine Treat Bags

Another Stampin' Up! Valentine idea is these cute treat bags.  Fill them with any special treat and you have a cute and easy gift in no time.

 

The bags come in packs of 12 and the kit includes the baker's twine and stripey banner.  Leave them as is or add some embellishments.  I used an image from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration set Banner Blast and a Basic Rhinestone. 

 

These cute bags are made of sturdy paper too - you could even dress them up with some green for a Christmas treat!

A Hug for the New Year

Happy New Year! 

I am guessing that since I saw Easter Eggs in the supermarket yesterday, it's not too early to show you some Valentine's products.  Consider it a hug for 2014!

These cute little guys come in a kit and hug a chocolate of your choice.  You get the monster, some googly eyes and the heart stickers.  Wouldn't they make great party favours for little kids?

I added some M&Ms in one of our cellophane treat tubes.  He even has a space on his back for writing your message.

 There is a boy pack and a girl pack, but I decided to dress up a boy to make him look like a girl, complete with nail polish.  Her hair is decorated with one of the flowers from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack, embellished with Basic Rhinestones.  Her heart is punched from Red Glimmer Paper using the Small Heart Punch.

 

 

Don't they make a cute pair?

Happy Anniversary

My parents have just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary!

 

 

Here's the card I made for them.

I was looking for the right embossing folder and OF COURSE the Cloudy Day embossing folder was the perfect background for the winged heart.

Olive Ewe

 

Sometimes I think I spend more time on Pinterest pinning card ideas than I do making them!  But today is a creative day.  I saw this as a free printable on Pinterest and knew I had to try it with punch art.

I loved the simplicity of the design... so here's my version

 



The sheep is the same design as I used for my sheep brooches which can be found HERE.

 

Plenty of white space gives a clean design and focuses on the sheep.

 

A teeny border of Old Olive around the white brings the design together.

 

I played with a couple of layouts, shifting the text and the heart around.  The sentiment is computer generated.
