June 5, 2016

I'm baaack! Here's a long post for ya! June offers, a card, a launch invite and my trip!

I have been away on a fantastic adventure and I will give you some updates across a few posts.  BUT FIRST!

This month Stampin' Up! has two great offers.

JOIN for $169 and get $235 in product.  Plus, when you join during the month of June, we will help you get started right by adding two extra stamp sets to your Starter Kit! The only catch is that you have to choose the extra stamp sets that you want—there’s no way you’re going to trick us into making such a hard decision. That’s right, you get to choose two FREE stamps sets of your choice! That’s an added value of up to $178 AUD, depending on which stamps you choose.

HOST during June or gather $450 in orders and you will receive an extra $50 in Stampin' Rewards (free product!!)

And a card....

One of my favourite stamp sets in the new catalogue is called Swirly Bird and it has matching thinlits called Swirly Scribbles.  After a month away from card making you'd think I would be itching to get back into it but jet lag is playing with my mind!  I did manage to make this card last night.

The stamp set has a bunch of different images that you can combine in different ways.  This is one of the sets we'll be playing with at my launch!!

I was very fortunate, thanks to my lovely customers and team members, to earn my first ever Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip - a Mediterranean Cruise!

I had already been planning to travel overseas to walk some of the Camino so I combined the two - that way Stampin' Up! paid the airfare for my Camino trip too!

For those of you who aren't familiar with the Camino, it is a pilgrim walk across the north of Spain.   The whole route begins in the Pyrenees and is over 800 km long.  We completed the last section from Sarria to Santiago Compostella - 116km in 6 days.

We flew first to Barcelona and explored for a few days.  Here is my walking buddy Dolores and I in front of the Sagrada Familia - our first and only selfie.

We took a train to Madrid and found our other walking buddy Kathleen, then continued by train to Sarria, the start of our walk.

Ready to begin...

Signs in Sarria...

If you are familiar with the walk you will know the shell symbol and yellow arrow.  This is the first sign we saw when we began.

And we enjoyed scenery like this...

Pilgrims/walkers carry a credential or passport which you can stamp at different locations.  Often you just stamped it yourself.  In one little church this elderly gentleman sat and stamped and dated each person's credential with such care and respect.

Lots of animals, especially farm dogs.  This one was asleep on a rock wall while his master worked the field nearby.

There is a strong Celtic influence in Galicia and we came across a man playing bagpipes on the trail.

That's all for now.  Jet lag is still affecting me!  I hope I sleep through tonight.

Ordering Online

Don't forget that throughout May, Stampin' Up! is retiring many products to make way for the new.  Make sure you check the retiring list.

Did you know that you can place an order online and have it posted directly to you??  Here's the steps.

First log into stampinup.com.au and in the STORE choose 'Create Account"

After you've filled out your own info, you'll get to a page that asks if you know a demonstrator - you do!  Me!!

Click into I ALREADY KNOW A DEMONSTRATOR.

It will then ask for some of my details so that it can find me...

The other important thing to do is to tick the 'yes' that allows me to contact you.  Otherwise I won't know it's you and I can't send you a thank you.

When you are ordering it helps me if you use a HOSTESS CODE.  I will have one listed on my blog at the top of the right hand column.

When you are shopping you can click into the shopping bag and enter the hostess code.  This allows me to combine orders and claim freebees that I then use as prizes in raffles and competitions!  If your order is $250 or more, don't use the hostess code as you are entitled to your own freebees.

Thanks!  Give it a go.  And don't forget that if you have a big order close to $169, you can join and get $235 worth of products.

Black and White and Tip Top Taupe

I recently blogged about our team meeting and have since had a chance to take individual photos of the cards that were left behind.  Some cards went home with their creators but these are a great example of the effort and creativity.  I so appreciate that so many of the team had a go at our first challenge.

Each person was given two pieces of the 'Go Wild' dsp and was asked to make a card.

Marie entered this one - the shine and sparkle is beautiful.

Cathy entered this one - another butterfly theme.

Marlene created this beautiful card with a central opening and touches of sparkle and vellum.

Angela's clean and simple design was made with one arm in a sling!

Yvette entered this one - I love the idea of animal print balloons!  Who'da thought?  And how about that hand drawn border?

Another entry from Cathy.  I think she made this one with her daughter.

It's amazing how you can change the look of dsp using some colour.  Lynn has coloured in some of the patterns and put strong colour behind.

And this was Lynne's second contribution.  Vellum butterflies!

Angie created this one and added some of our Candy Dots, top and bottom.

Suzi's entry came all the way from Hervey Bay.  Another card with a central opening and a cute linen closure.  The flower is a beauty!

It was nice to see some cards in less common shapes - Karen created this one with Clean and Simple in mind.

And how is this one for colour??  Black, white and Melon Mambo!!  What a bright welcome for a baby.  The co-ordinating envelope is the perfect match!

And last but not least, Maree created this cute pop up card.  Isn't it a cutie??

Thanks once again to everyone who took part in the challenge.  It was wonderful to see so many different creations!

Thanks for stopping by!

Fun Frame

I have been asked to create a sampler frame for a customer using arty images.  Much harder than the Christmas frames but I think I succeeded.

With a combination of hand stamped images and punch art, I came up with 16 x 5cm panels!  I thought primary colours were the best option plus a few secondary colours for variety.  The frame is from Ikea.  Don't know what I will do if they ever stop selling those!

And there is a little sneak peek in there of a new stamp set coming called, Painter's Palette.  I have to say that it arrived just in time as I was really stuck for 16 ideas!  Thanks for stopping by!

Team Lorikeet

I have a wonderful team of demonstrators who have joined up to enjoy the magic of stamping and the fabulous discount.  I even have a team member in Perth and one in Chinchilla!

The other  fun part of being an SU! demonstrator is the fun events where we get together.  On Wednesday of last week we had a team meeting which was a first for some who attended.

I had to get creative with the setting up of my lounge room but we fitted! Angela took my photos for me so she is behind the camera.

We'd just been to Onstage so my display was easy - swaps from other demonstrators.

And Lynn brought hers along too.  Thanks Lynn!

I gave my team members a challenge to make a card or two using the Go Wild DSP.  All up we had more than 15 entries and such a variety of interpretations.  We had some really clever ideas.

Lynne R won best card...and she doesn't know it yet - looking forward to giving her her prize on Thursday.

Jessica won best bling for her use of these red enamel dots.  This was a great boost for Jessica as she has not had enough time to craft this past year.

And Cathy, who joined just recently, won best clean and simple with this lovely card.

We had a prize just for entering....which was won by Christine.

And we did two make and takes using new products from Onstage...

This card was CASEd from Jessica Williams, one of Stampin' Up!s Artisans.  This is a new set coming called Sitting Here.

And Jenny, one of the team members won this set in Prize Patrol and generously leant it to me to prepare the make and take - SHE LET ME TAKE IT HOME!! FROM ONSTAGE!!  Is this teddy the cutest bear ever??  He/she is a three step stamp which we layered for detail.  You can almost tickle her furry tummy.

All up we had a fun night of stamping and socializing!

If you would like a fantastic discount of at least 20% on all SU! products and be part of my team, you can join for $169 and get $235 of products.  That's $66 of products for FREE!

Contact me for more information!  Email me at wheatonanna@hotmail.com or phone me on 07 55 765 469.

Thanks for stopping by!
