A special anniversary and a sneak peek

I have a friend whose parents are soon to celebrate their 59th wedding anniversary.

I chose to make a simple design and used a colour combination from the Colour Coach.

  • The patterned paper is from one of my favourite DSP packs - Polka Dot Parade.  I love the way the two types of polka dots blend.
  • Sneak Peek:  Our new Holiday Mini catalogue is due out at the start of September and one of my favourite items is the Envelope Liners Framelits Dies.  They come in three sizes to suit the three sizes of SU! envelopes.
  • Gotta have the rhinestones for a special occasion!

Happy 40th

A dear friend of mine recently turned 40 so to make the card, I turned to the Big Shot.  The Simple Numbers set was just the thing.
Baja Breeze and Cherry Cobbler combine to form a striking combo.  I put these two colours together with the help of my Color Coach.

Some details added using the Itty Bitty Shapes punches and some Basic Pearls.  Itty Bitty Punches are one of our carryover items from the last mini catalogue.  I love the packs of co-ordinating DSP in each colour family.

The numbers were sponges in Cherry Cobbler.

Significant Factors

My husband, a Chemistry teacher has been encouraging his Year 11 students to memorise Significant Factors Figures! (nope, me neither).  He asked me to make some sort of badge to give them when they had achieved this...so with the help of the Big Shot, this is what I came up with...
Apparently the badge has been a success as they all want to get one and have hurried up with their memorising.

Happy 18th

I can't believe I have a nephew who is turning 18!

I have made him a milestone birthday card using the Big Shot aphabet.  The inspiration for the card design came from Clean and Simple - a great site to get inspiration for simple cards.
I used Soft Suede and Cherry Cobbler.

I wanted to make the inside a little more interesting which I did with some layering and sponging.  And, of course, a co-ordinating envelope.

Melon Mambo

We sponsored my niece, Ella, who got 100% on her spelling test.  I whipped this up to congratulate her.  I love the intensity of Melon Mambo.  The sentiment was done on computer.
