Gingham Garden Washi tape = stunning

I love the colour combination Stampin' Up! has used with their Gingham Garden Washi tape.  Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Island Indigo are a vibrant combination.

 

Wouldn't a set of these make the perfect gift?

Wondering what washi is??  It's a translucent, repositionable patterned tape which means if it's not in the right position, you can peel it off and start again.  It's light enough to punch through and you can cut or tear it.  That's it across the corner of the card.

Gingham Garden and Label Love

These tags were a cinch to whip up.

They are just rectangles of Whisper White cardstock with strips of Gingham Garden DSP adhered along the bottom.

I have added interest to the Label Love sentiment with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch and a co-ordinating circle folded in half at the top.

Label Love Tags

This week's class was gift tags.

We used a retired tag die and retired DSP scraps but we got to use the new Label Love stamp set and matching punch.

This was a quick and easy project and it's a great way to use up your scraps of DSP.

New Stuff

Soho Subway is one of the delicious new DSPs in the new catalogue.  I love its smoky, gritty feel.

 

 

 

Perfect for male cards.

 

 

I saw this design on Pinterest and decided to try it out...instead of spending more time on Pinterest.

 

• Stampin' Ups DSP now comes with a list of the co-ordinating colours on the backing sheet - no searching for your catalogue needed!
• Our cute mini brads are the perfect accessory to add the finishing touch or extra something to a card.
• Sponge, sponge, sponge.  These DSP pages have a shaded edge so I sponged the freshly cut edges to reflect the subway feel.
• The stamp is from Label Love and has a border.  Using my Stampin' Write marker, I inked up only the sentiment for a different look.

A little story.  I had the good fortune to travel to New York last year with two buddies.  So I had memories of this trip in mind as I was creating.  I fiddled around with the top layer of this card, cutting the piece from one of the DSP sheets which is map of Manhattan Island.  My first piece was crooked, my next piece was too short and then I ended up with my final piece.  Once I had assembled my card and looked at the finished product, I realized that the piece of map I had ended up with was the exact section where we stayed!

Washi x 2

We have two sets of washi tape in the new catalogue:  Epic This and That Designer Washi Tape (phew!) and Gingham Garden Designer Washi tape (not so phew!)  I am loving both sets.

This is a super simple design using the Label Love stamp set, another new product in the upcoming catalogue.  Here I have teamed it with the Gingham Garden Washi tape.
