Jar of Love + Painted Season + Gingham Gala DSP

My focus this week is JARS!

Jar of Love in the Annual Catalogue is one of my favourite sets - so much so that I have bought it a second time because my first set has been used to death.

I don't know why but I am drawn to jars.

These come with matching Framelits which makes the set even dinkier in my opinion!

And because I used the Gingham Gala DSP, I had to make one in each colour.....

The flowers are stamped with one of the beautiful images from the Painted Seasons stamp set which is bundled with DSP for a SAB freebee.

The Framelits for the Painted Season stamp set will be available for purchase in March along with framelits for a number of other SAB sets.

The large scallop is one of my all time favourite dies from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits in the Annual Catalogue.  It's such a handy accent for cards.

And I added some bling using the Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins....So easy to apply because....well....they have adhesive backs!

Did you notice I switched the DSP over so that some were the big checks and some were the small checks??

Do you drool over all this lovely papery fun???  Do you have a shopping list that is looooong?  did you know that you can join my team as a Hobby Demonstrator which means that you can buy all your goodies for a 20% discount?

Stamparatus 101!

Stampin Up ® Stamparatus

 Class no. 2

Thursday 21st February 2019

Stamparatus®

Item #148187
$85.00

I have had quite a few requests for another class to showcase more techniques using the Stampin Up ® Stamparatus.
This is a fantastic tool with many different applications.

For this Class we used with the All Adorned Stamp set, which is one of the Second Release Sale-a-bration items FREE with every $90 ordered.

The first card, CASEd from Erica Cerwin, used Balmy Blue cardstock, and Night of Navy ink. Using the small grid paper made especially for the Stamparatus as a guide, we rotated the card, leaving the stamp in the same place on the clear plate to stamp each corner. We then stamped the greeting on Whisper White and used a gold foil edging to make it pop.

Do you spot a new stamp set?  It's from More than Words, a new stamp set designed for SAB coordination that will be available for purchase in March.

The next card overlapped two of the images from All Adorned, one using Smoky Slate ink, and the other Merry Merlot. The card front is Smokey Slate and the sentiment from the Hello Cup Cake set in Sale-a-bration (first release) is stamped in Merry Merlot, with the ribbon coming from the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.  We used the Stamparatus hinge step which allows you to move the plate down the hinges and evenly space the pattern.

We moved on to make a gift tag using Pumpkin Pie cardstock, and the Scalloped Tag Topper, from the Annual Catalogue. Using the Jar of Love stamp set, we stamped the jar, the lid and the fish, with the water inside using Bermuda Bay ink.  These are so quick to make, and are really eye catching to add to any gift.

The next technique was the reflective images from the This Little Piggy stamp set from the Annual Catalogue. We used the Silicone Craft Sheet (page 213 of the Annual Catalogue) to stamp the image onto,  then flipped it over so that it became the 'stamp' and stamped  a 'reflection' of the 'real' pig.
We coloured the pigs using the Stampin Blends.

The last technique, allowed us to stamp a multicoloured image on to the card base.  Because the stamp lands in exactly the same place, ink can be added in different shades and touch ups can be made.
We used the All Things Thanks stamp set and coloured it in Melon Mambo, Mango Melody and Calypso Coral, for a bright thank you card.
The ribbon is the Melon Mambo 1/4" Mini Striped Ribbon, and of course we used Rhinestones to add some bling.   Garden Impressions DSP was the inspiration for the colour choices and it provided the background for the Whisper White piece.

I run regular classes on the Gold Coast.  Beginner, casual and avid crafters are all welcome!  Contact me for more information.
If you are interested in any of these products you can head to my online store by clicking HERE.

Stampin' Up!® Jar of Love

Last week we had our Jar of Love class.  This is one of my favourite sets from Stampin' Up!® and I wanted to show the ladies all the different ways to use it.

There are many fab videos on YouTube with Jar of Love ideas.  This card is from a tutorial by Dena Rekow.  It's a great mixture of stamping and cut outs.

This one uses the swirl cut out from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. The Jar of Love flowers are stamped and cut out and arranged on top.  The FOR YOU is also from the Jar of Love set.  It has a gazillion stamps (well...37!)

There are a few versions of this card online but my inspiration was from The Crafty Owl.  We watercoloured on Shimmer White then stamped over.  The stars are white gel pen.

I wanted to make a couple of cards showing the ladies how effective the negative of the die can be.  Using the Mini Treat Bags we cut a hole in the front with the medium sized jar and then put an acetate square in behind it to make a window.  There's a fish in the jar...

But if you slide the card out, there's a lot of fish.

And even though this is not using the Jar of Love stamps or dies, I HAD to have everyone make this cutie.  This is a beautiful card I saw on Instagram.  Isn't it cute??

To finish off the class, I had a lucky door prize using the Jar of Love framelits.

Jar of Love is carrying over into the next catalogue but NOT as a bundle with the discounted price.  If you love it and would love to buy it, let me know!  OR head straight to my online store.

Jar of Love cards

I made these really quickly yesterday and it's always good to make a bunch of cards instead of just one, when you have your supplies out.

Same same but different!

One of the stamps in the set is a string and bow for round the jar.  I have stamped these in Versamark and embossed with our Copper Embossing Powder.

The set comes with matching framelits and purchased as a bundle you get 10% off.

More Jar of Love

I love the Jar of Love set in the new Annual catalogue. The Photopolymer set has 37 stamps with so many possibilities!

My Stamp Club ladies got to play with it at our soiree.

Of course the Jar of Love projects had to go in a jar...  I found this at the local Stacks discount store.

The Jar of Love set has three sizes of mason jars and this tag uses the smallest.

Each jar contained a variety of projects...

These simple tags were CASEd from Becky Roberts and use the Badges and Banners stamp set for the 'A Little Hello'.

These are mini cards.  I folded Whisper White in half and cut using the Big Shot by putting the top of the framelit on the fold.

The set even has a stamp to put water in the jars.  Afterward I played with adding a fish to the water.

This is a cute little shaker tag, again inspired by Becky Roberts.

And these little treat holders were a fun addition.  Mini M&Ms were the perfect contents.

All of these items bundled nicely together to fit in the jar!

The Jar of Love stamp set and Framelits are available separately but if you buy them in a bundle you get 10% off.  AND coming in the Holiday Catalogue are TWO more sets using the jar framelits.

Don't forget that this month is the ONLY month that you can purchase Thoughtful Branches.  This is a wonderfully versatile stamp set with matching framelits.  10% off if you buy the bundle.

The variety of sentiments is great and the font is beautiful.

Here's one of the cards we'll be making in my class on Tuesday....

The class is $20 or FREE if you purchase the bundle.  The bundle costs $90.75.

Tuesday August 9th - Thoughtful Branches Class

Morning session:  9.30 till 12 FULL!!!
Evening session:  7 till 9.30

In this class we will be making projects using the Thoughtful Branches bundle available only during August and while stocks last.  This bundle is fantastic and has such a variety of uses.

Cost is $20
or FREE
if you purchase the bundle from me before or after class.
RSVP by:  Sunday August 7th

Can't wait till September to see the Holiday Catalogue???  If you are a demonstrator, you can view the catalogue and PREODER a month early!!  My order has been placed and is on its way!
It costs $169 to join and you can choose $235 of product - ANY product from any current catalogue.  I have so many ladies who join for the discount (I did!)

Stampin' Up!s Jar of Love

Years ago Stampin' Up! had a wonderful stamp set and framelits called Perfectly Preserved which I refused to get rid of when it retired:  it was a favourite.  Now they have brought out Jar Of Love...and I am in love.

We made this card at our launch - pretty easy with some simple stamping then Copper Embossing on the jar lid.

There are 37 stamps in the set, including a whole bunch of words AND there are a bunch of flowers and leaves.  Who wouldn't love this 'thankyou'?  I have added a bit of Burlap Ribbon around the jar for some texture.

Or add a stamped and die cut bow.

I have also had fun making lucky door prizes with the set.  This is a set of Gift Tags inspired by Becky Roberts.

And some samples of our Enamel Shapes.  The dies even include a piece to cut a window out of the jar - great for shaker cards....next on my list!

There are so many possibilities and combinations with this set that I will be playing with it a lot and look forward to showing you more!

Don't forget that if you buy the stamp set and dies together as a bundle, you get 10%off.  Or why not book a party with me and your sales could earn you a half price item!

You can shop online at my store by clicking HERE.  Be sure to use the current hostess code 3A2E6ZNE which you can enter in the shopping basket.

Any order of $90 or more in July gives you a $9 voucher to spend in August.

Did you get everything you want from the new annual catalogue yet? Since it came out only a month ago, you probably still have some items on your wish list, and we have some great news for you! For every $90  you spend between 7 July and 31 July (before shipping and handling), you’ll get $9  Bonus Days coupon that you can use between 2 and 31 August. This is a great opportunity to shop from your wish list, whether you buy your favourite  products now or later in August with your coupons!

Our catalogue launch in June was also a fundraiser for Cancer Council and I have received a letter and receipt back from them.

$245 raised and donated to a very good cause!  Thanks to everyone who contributed.
