Tea for Two DSP

I am not sure what this type of card is called but it's super quick and easy and the results can be very different depending on the DSP you use.  This is the Tea for two DSP fomr the new Seasonal Mini.

These card are made using four pieces of DSP, cut simultaneously in a stack into four pieces of varying sizes.  The pieces are then shuffled around to reform the original shape but it is made up of four different patterns.  These are then snailed onto a card front and embellished.  Confused?  Yeah, I was too.  Maybe some pics will help.

A 'portrait version'...

...embellished with one of the Beautiful Wings butterflies.

And another...

...embellished with a Designer Builder Brad from the new Mini.  I love the effect of the epoxy bubble over the centre.

And here's a landscape version...

...embellished with one of the many sentiments from Bring on the Cake and an Itty Bitty punched flower.

And lastly...

...a simple embellishment using one of our new Framelits called Hearts a Flutter.  You can find this beautiful Framelits set on page 11 of our new Seasonal catalogue, along with its co-ordinating stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!

Crumb Cake and White

I love this combination and had a request from a customer for some cards using these two colours.  I had made her some white flower designs before but she wanted a new design - you know:  same same but different.

The light is not the best as I took these pics in the late afternoon.  Sorry!

I have sponged the edges of the butterfly layer with Crumb Cake ink.  And the Embossing Folders add to the texture of the cards.

Card:  Crumb Cake and Whisper White

Introducing...the new In Colors

Come September, Stampin' Up! will introduce five new In Colors to complement the rest of the colour range.  All five a just beautiful!  Thought I would give you a sample of what they are like.

In all these samples, the card base, the top butterfly and the sentiment are done in the new colour.  The card style is inspired by Kirsty Brown.

First up... Calypso Coral which I have teamed with Peach Parfait.

These butterflies are put together using the Big Shot Beautiful Butterflies die and the Embosslits beautiful wings die.

Next up Wisteria Wonder - I have been hoping for a lavendar shade to be introduced.  This one I have teamed with Concord Crush.  Yummeeee.

Do you like the flourish?  One of our free stamp sets from Convention was Creative Elements.  I love this delicate touch.

Another In Color:  Lucky Limeade.  Remember Kiwi Kiss?  This new colour reminds me very much of that old favourite.

I have added some Stick on Basic Pearls for a touch of elegance.

Pool Party is a light subtle colour which I have teamed with Tempting Turquoise, one of our Brights.

And last but not least, Island Indigo, contrasting below with Bashful Blue.

The For You sentiment is from the Elements of Style stamp set and is punched out with a 1" circle punch.

Stay tuned for more sneak peeks.

If you are interested in seeing more samples from the new catalogue, I am having a launch at my house at the beginning of September.  Email me for more details.  Can't come but want a new catalogue?  I can have one ready to mail to you on September 1st.  Cost is $12.95 including postage.  Contact me for more details.

Thanks for visiting!

Bright and Cheery

I created this box and card as a birthday gift for a six year old girl.  The colours are from the now retired Bold Brights family, but I bought up on some of the lovely bright colours for just this kind of thing.
The flower was done using the Big Shot.  The box is the Fancy Favor die.  The card and box were so quick and easy to put together..what did we do before the Big Shot?

Inside the box...
Colour co-ordinating jelly beans.

A note book that any little girl would love.  So easy to make using the Beautiful Butterflies die.  The Crop-a-Dile punched through the layers like butter.

And a magnet.

Stamps:  Easter Blossoms
Card:  Retired colours
Ink:  Retired colours
Tools:  Big Shot, Fancy favor bigz xl die, Blossom Party die, Beautiful Butterflies die, Beautiful Wings Embosslits die, Little Leaves die, Crop-a-Dile, Scallop Circle Punch
Accessories:  Basic Rhinestones, Assorted ribbons

Big Shot workshop

Yesterday was the first of our Big Shot classes which introduced some ladies to the Big Shot for the first time.  We made some fab projects which are given such zing when the Big Shot is in action.

I have shown a similar card to this before, but it's a great example of a spectacular card that is easy to produce using the Big Shot and the Elegant Lines textured Impressions folder.

Simplicity is the key for this male card using the Inlaid Embossing technique.

The Faux suede technique, using the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die.

Some patchworking given that something extra using the Top Note die - exclusive to Stampin' Up!

If you are interested in coming along to my classes, they are held in the Burleigh Waters area.  Email me at wheatonanna@hotmail.com or phone 55 765 469 for more information.

Thanks to the ladies who came.  I had a great time and hope you did too!

Pinks, Purples and Lilacs

I have been asked by a dancewear shop to make a few cards for them to sell.  I visited the shop the other day.  I have one child, a boy so I haven't had a lot of need to visit dance wear shops, but I think Tinkerbell's Treasures has everything your heart could desire if you had a child interested in dance and dressups.  It was a wonderland!  I took some samples along and the order request has been for fairies, butterflies and cupcakes...in pinks, purples and lilacs.   One of the simple cards I made was this little notecard.  It's pink (tick) and has a butterfly (tick) and some bling (surely, a tick).  The butterfly is an Embosslits Die, run through the Big Shot.  Stampin' Up! now sells stick-on Rhinestones for that bit of sparkle.  The paper piercing is done using the Mat Pack. This was very quick and easy to put together.

Stamps: None
Card:  Whisper White A4 (p121), Mini Square Envelopes (p123), Pretty In Pink (p119)
Ink: Stampin' Write Journaler (p143)
Tools:  Big Shot (p150), Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die (p 151)
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones (p140), Mat Pack (p148), Paper Piercing Tool (p148)
