I Am In Trouble

I recently ran a class that was daytime only and masculine cards.  Everyone wants masculine cards, I have discovered and my night time ladies were sad to miss out.  So I am scheduling a class in June for more masculine cards.

In the meantime, here is what we made.

I run classes five times a month on the Gold Coast!  Check my class schedule in the classes tab at the top of the blog - I update it regularly.

Come and get inky!!

Happy Birthday to my boy!

I have a long and skinny son and I can't quite believe he is fifteen today!.....That means he'll be 16 soon too....then 17.  You get my drift.

This was him once (He is the big one, not the little one.)  And now he is 6 ft 2" and very lovely.

So for a tall and skinny boy I made a long and skinny card...showing our incredulity through punctuation!?!?

And a matching long and skinny envelope, using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.

Can we take a moment to appreciate that the flap of my envelope matches up PERFECTLY!!

And while I had my crafting supplies out, the two guinea pigs and the cockatiel got in on the act and decorated a bag.  I told them that they had to come back and make a card later.  They said "Wheet" and "Chirp".

Look at those faces!!

Don't forget the fabulous DSP sale we have throughout October.  Buy three packs of DSP and get one free, from a selected range.  There are even some Christmas packs!

The best offer of all is to join up!  For $169 you receive $235 worth of goodies and a 20% discount on all products for at least 3 months!  I have many ladies in my team who have joined for the discount and love saving on their orders!  We have fun monthly team meetings and events for you to be involved in as a member of the Lorikeet Stampers.

If you are interested in the classes I run, have a look at my events calendar HERE.

Father's Day Treats

Here are a couple of ideas for packaging small treats for Father's Day.

Licorice Bullets are always a hit and can be easily packaged into cute little treat bags.

Add a topper to a cello bag and embellish!  Our glimmer paper adds a touch of pizzazz.

And every dad loves licorice allsorts....

A piece of Striped Grosgrain Ribbon finishes off the acetate box.  Best Dad Ever is one of the 23 sentiments from the And Many More stamp set, on special this week.

Yummo!

A huge thank you

My son has played a looong season of soccer again this year.  He has been lucky to have a wonderful coach who has been consistently enthusiastic and encouraging of all the boys.  We are always so  grateful for the time these people put in voluntarily.

So I made a card for the team to sign.

It was a design I found years ago on Pinterest.   I used the hexagon punch and then ran the pieces through the Big Shot using the Polka Dot  Embossing Folder.  Then all you need is a straight eye.

Best Dad Ever

If you're not sold on the idea of photopolymer stamps, here's an idea that might convince you.

One of our fab SAB sets says BEST. DAY. EVER.  But this card says BEST. DAD. EVER.

This is where the photopolymer stamps are a must.

This is what the set looks like.

This is the card.

And this is what you do:
  • Ink up your stamp, using a Stampin' Write marker, but don't ink the "Y" in day or the full stop
  • Stamp the image - it will say "BEST. DA  EVER."  which might be appropriate depending on your circumstances!!
  • Clean your stamp off and ink up the "D" at the start of "DAY"
  • Hover over your stamped image and stamp the "D" after "DA" to spell "DAD". You can get perfect placement because you can see through the stamp!
  • Clean off your stamp and ink up the full stop and stamp it after "DAD"
Easy!  I love finding other uses for stamps!

Best Day Ever is FREE when you spend $90 on any Stampin' Up! products.

I 'must ache' ......

Happy Father's Day to my dear hubby, my dad and all dads out there

I made these for the school Father's Day stall.  Some bagged maltesers and some Aldi chocs, wrapped and ready.

So easy with our Mustache Framelit!  The sentiment was computer generated.  The kids loved them.

Happy Father's Day and much thanks to all the great dads out there.
