Christmas Frame

I am really excited to show you this project for two reasons.  One:  I actually finished it before Christmas and Two:  it turned out exactly as I wanted it to.  You know how sometimes you have an idea in your mind of how something should look and the end product is nothing like it?  Well, this finished up just right.  I saw the idea on Nancy Riley's blog a year ago.  Have a look at her version by clicking HERE (but finish looking at mine first!)

Here it is...  It looks even better in real life and there's bling here and there to give it Christmas sparkle.

I took the glass out of the frame for the photos.  Scroll down for some close ups.  Love the Very Vanilla bird against the Cherry Cobbler.

This stamp set of the Nativity scene is a favourite for me this Christmas.

Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon adds a touch of softness on the wreath.

I have used a Glimmer Brad for the centre of this flower.  The 3D Christmas tree is made using the Pennant Parade stamp set.

Sadly our star punch punches have retired.  The flower is made using the Doily Triple layer punch.

We can't forget Rudolph, made using the Owl Builder Punch.

And, of course, the owl himself, dressed in his Christmas waistcoat.

I had a great day today, running a free cardmaking class at the local library.  Some of the ladies had never made cards before and all of them did a fantastic job.  If you are one of those ladies popping in to see my blog, welcome! And do pop in again!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Thankyou

I have been very busy lately, preparing for classes tomorrow and also filling Christmas card orders.  I am wondering if I'll get time to make my own!  Maybe next week.

I made this pressie for Zac's piano teacher.  We had been given a tin of delicious choccies, which we had finished, but I kept the tin because of its unusual shape.
.

A bit of DSP and some ribbon go a long way to dress it up.

And on top, a flower made with the Scallop Circle Punch.  And I filed it with....delicious choccies.

I also made some gift tags in a co-ordinating pack.

Thanks for stopping by!

Good-Bye Jolly Holiday

One of my favourite DSPs is retiring AND it is reduced.  I love the combination of Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.

Jolly Holiday DSP is now 40% off:  that's $10.17 for 16 sheets.  If you would like to order a pack, or any other products, contact me.

I still have three Jolly Holiday Jolly packs left.  These were advertised in my last class.
  • 1/4 pack Old Olive A4 (6 sheets)
  • 1/4 pack Cherry Cobbler A4 (6 sheets)
  • 1/4 pack Jolly Holiday DSP (6 sheets 30.5 x 15.2cm - 1/2 a scrapbook page)
  • 1/4 roll Old Olive 1.6 cm Satin Ribbon (approx. 3.4 metres)
  • Postage—FREE
  • Cost - $14

This is a great combination of products for getting stuck into your Christmas creations.
Below is one of the gifts we made in our last class.  This is a fantastic little box designed by Becky Roberts of Inking Idaho.  A tutorial is available for purchase from her blog.
If you are interested in placing an order for any Stampin' Up! products, please email me wheatonanna@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Bag in a Box...er Box in a Bag

I'm back, with photos!

One of our projects at the December workshop was this Box in a Bag. The original was created by Di Gibbs, a SU! demonstrator in the U.S. It looks beautiful in the Jolly Holiday DSP and the project is quick and easy. Click here for the tutorial.
The tag uses the Dasher stamp - one of the a la CARTE single stamps. If you are a fan of the Scallop Circle punch, this is a larger one (6cm) available in the new Summer Mini. The Old Olive circle is punched out with the 4.4cm Circle Punch.
Stamps: Dasher
Card: Jolly Holiday DSP, Old Olive A4, Cherry Cobbler A4
Ink: Old Olive
Tools: Scallop Edge Punch, 4.4 cm Circle Punch, 6cm Scallop Circle Punch, Round Tab Punch (hidden behind the tag!)
Accessories: Wild Wasabi Double stitched ribbon (retired), Basic Rhinestones

Ornamental Christmas

If you haven't discovered the Ornament Punch yet, it's a beauty.  It cuts out the shape so cleanly, either around a punched image or out of some DSP.  This is a set of note cards I made which fit in the mini pizza box at the back.  These were a gift for a stamp-a-stack hostess.

If you'd like a demonstration workshop at your home, contact me on wheatonanna@hotmail.com  There is no cost to you and you are eligible for hostess benefits, depending on sales.  Alternatively, if you have a group of six or more friends who love stamping, you might like me to run a stamp-a-stack for $20 a head.  These are a great way to get a group of friends together for a fun morning, afternoon or evening.

Jolly Holly

This is one of my stamp-a-stack designs which is so easy to put together.  The Jolly Holly DSP is gorgeous and co-ordinates beautifully with Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler - whatever did we do without Cherry Cobbler??
The Christmas sentiment is from the Perfect Punches set.
And if you have little strips of paper left over, these can be lined up for this design.
Stamps:  Perfect Punches
Card:  Old Olive A4, Cherry Cobbler A4
Ink:  Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler
Tools:  Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch
Accessories: Old Olive 1.6cm Grosgrain Ribbon
