I have made a banner for the family picnic on Sunday which is a Valentine's theme.

 

It's a bit tricky to photograph the whole thing at once so I've shown you bits of it.  You get the idea.  Happy Valentine's Day and let your loved ones know you love them every day.

Bright Greetings

I have been prepping for a stamp-stack that is this Saturday.

If you are after a bright card, the Gingham Garden DSP is fabulous.  I love the mix of bright and colourful flowery designs with the option of some more subdued patterns on the reverse.

 

 

It's easy to get the colour co-ordination happening by just picking out the colours in the designs.  Did you know that our DSP now has the co-ordinating colours listed on the pack??  Easy peasy.

Envelope Punch Board Nifty Stuff

I have an Envelope Punch Board class coming up next week so I knuckled down this week to get my samples organized.

 

 

I love this tool and I think it's great value.  For not much more than the price of a punch you can make sooo many things.... and you have a corner rounder punch included.  I have made plenty of envelopes with it but have only just got round to trying out these cute file folder cards.  They are so easy and so different.

 



I took my lead from Patty Bennett, and American demonstrator who has some great samples and tutorials to make these cards.  Great fun!  This card is based on one of her designs.

The card part slides out and can then be 'refiled'.

Don't forget our fabulous washi tape.  Some ladies only discovered it at my launch and were hooked.  There are two new designs in the catalogue, including a gold set!  It's easy to apply, can be cut or torn and it's also repositionable so you can't go wrong.

Don't forget that Sale-a-Bration is on now which means that if you spend $90 you get a free SAB item.

Fringe Benefits

I am sure I am not the first to use that blog title to promote Stampin' Up!s new Fringe scissors!

In all the busyness getting my launch ready, made this the night before and had it done in no time. I wanted to have a sample made with the fringe scissors so that everyone could see how easy and effective they are.  The card is so tactile:  I kept patting it.

We have lift off!

Saturday saw my launch of the Sale-a-Bration and Occasions catalogue.  I had 28 ladies through my house to see the catalogue in the flesh and play with some products.  Would you like a little look?

I always clear a book case (great chance to dust!) and have a display of samples.  It's so much easier to get an idea of what the products are like when you see them in use.

 

 

I had four tables set up with make and takes.....

 

These chocolate treat holders, made with the new Tag Topper Punches are turning up everywhere in Blogland.  I love the new gold washi tape.

 



I found these stand alone kraft bags at Kmart and the ladies each decorated one for a gift bag.  The Perfect Pennants set and matching Banner Framelits were the star of this show.

 

 

Again, using the Tag Topper Punch, we made a fairly simple card.  It also used the yummy Sweet Sorbet DSP free during Sale-a-Bration.  I think you'll see a lot more from these Tag Topper Punches on my blog!

 



And one of my favourite things to make -  a mini card with a lined envelope.  These cute little banners and matching punch are just two of the products available for FREE during Sale-a-Bration.

And as usual we ran a raffle to raise money for the Gold Coast Children's Hospital using products generously donated by Stampin' Up!  All up across the two sessions we raised $145!
