Our Make and Takes

Our launch on Saturday raised $235 for the children's ward of the Gold Coast Hospital.

The main activity of the day is the make and takes.  Want to see?

Everyone fell in love with this simple card using the Lotus Blossom stamp set FREE during Sale-a-Bration.  The stamp set is so easy to use after a little bit of a play.  Once you have the hang of it...these beautiful blossoms are a cinch.

We used the Stampin' Up! notecards and just stamped - no layers, just a co-ordinating envelope.

Blossom up close!  We used Strawberry Slush ink and Pink Pirouette.

This monochrome card uses another of the Sale-a-Bration sets Big Day.  I saw this design on Pinterest, created by Cynthia Millan.

I love the sentiment on this set - another way of saying 'thank you.'

This was our masculine card using Big Day, another Sale-a-Bration set.

We stamped the Celebrate image on a piece of cardstock and snipped it out using our scissors.

And lastly we used a bunch of products combined to make this cutie.

Our Mini Treat Bag die is just gorgeous and makes the cutest sized bags.  They are easy to put together and the die comes with a heap of other cutouts.

We used the new Ornate Tag Topper Punch to make the Soft Suede layer and then the Note Tag punch to punch round a sentiment from One Tag Fits All.

The bow is made using the new Bow Builder Punch.  These are quick to put together using mini glue dots.

Thanks for stopping by!  If you would like to come to one of my events but you aren't oon my email list, drop me a line at wheatonanna@hotmail.com.

Launch lift off

We had a great day on Saturday.  I had 30 ladies at my house for the launch of the Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogues.  We had five make and takes, refreshments, displays and a raffle and lots of fun.  As usual I didn't take enough photos but I took some!  Or rather, my sister took them...thanks Susan!  I took one!

We always have some great products donated by SU!  The launch was in two sessions so we had this twice!

I had made up plenty of samples to show my ladies the products in action.

And we had tables set up with make and takes.

I'll show you close ups of the projects in a future post!

The ladies had lots of fun catching up - I don't run classes across December/January and they miss it.

Our two raffles throughout the day raised $225 and I was just given another $10 today to take the total to $235 for the Children's Ward of the Gold Coast Hospital.  Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket.  Your enthusiasm and support for these raffles and this cause is infectious.  I will give you a follow up post when I hear back from the hospital.

Thanks for stopping by!

Big Day

When my son was little we used to finish the day with stories then we'd go through the events of the day and end by saying:  "Whadda whadda big big day...What was the best part of your day?" and he would choose the best thing that had happened.  Once it was that he had seen John Howard's face on a campaign poster!

This Sale-a-Bration stamp set is called Big Day. And I am sure John Howard would love it.

I love the sentiment:  Celebrate your big day with cake!"

I have attached it to one of our mini treat bags made using Birthday Bash Specialty DSP and our new thinlit die Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.  The  bags are just gorgeous and so easy to put together.

In this case I have inked up the stamp using my Stampin' Write Markers to get a range of colours.

The sentiment is attached to the bag using a couple of staples and our Handheld Stapler.

It was great fun to make and oh so cute.

Thanks for stopping by!
