I did it!

I have some exciting news.  Since October 1st of last year, I have had my sights set on earning the Stampin' Up!®  Incentive Trip to Alaska!  And.... we did it!!

By 'we' I mean all of you.  You can't come, sorry, but you all helped me.  Everyone who has ordered from me, come to my classes, come to my free events, been part of my team and encouraged me has helped me across the line.

Hubby and son have been a huge help along the way, firstly by being patient with all the events that occur in the house and how long it takes me to tidy each one away!  And by helping out with all manner of things:  selling raffle tickets, putting tables up, taking tables down, putting chairs out, putting chairs away...you get the idea.

This is how I told them I had got there.  I made cards for each of them which I presented at dinner.

My son is playing it cool and hasn't responded but hubby, who has a great sense of humour sent me an email...

So I sent him a form which of course, he filled in...

 

 

If you are a Stampin' Up! fan you'll understand the two referees!  Mary Fish is an American demonstrator and one of my SU! idols.  Aaron is the Business Development Manager for Stampin' Up! Australia.

 

And since sharing my news I have received lovely cards from customers and team members!

 

 

 

 

This is a bucket list trip of a lifetime!  I can't believe I earned it making cards and sharing my love of papercraft!  Thanks once again to all of you who have been with me along the way.  I hope to keep offering more fun events for you in the future!

Team Fun

One of the best parts of my job is my team, the Lorikeet Stampers.  I love sharing with them, card making with them, helping them and meeting with them.  They are a lovely bunch of people!

 

Most of them are hobby demonstrators, which means they have joined to get the fabulous 20% discount.  Some of my team also do Stampin' Up! as a business.  All levels of interest are welcome!

 

We meet once a month on the Gold Coast and the team meeting is optional, but lots of fun!

Every month we have an optional creative challenge.  This month it was to create a card based on this sketch.

Here's one of the fantastic entries - this one is made by Caroline.

And these were the prizes I prettied up for the challenge, using the Oh So Eclectic stamp set and framelits.

Jennifer ran the make and take, so this was her thank you.

And Christine promoted to Bronze Elite (which means she now gets a 25% discount) so we celebrated her achievement by presenting Christine with this.

This month's team meeting was extra special as I celebrated my team being my team!

Everyone in the team, whether adopted or not, received a feather as a symbol of the team.

Then anyone who has reached Bronze Elite received a special bracelet.

 

 

It was tricky getting charms in the colours of the lorikeet and in the end my sister MADE these dangly charms!  Isn't she clever??

And anyone in my team who reached Silver and Silver Elite received these.

 

 

I presented these ones in these cute little bottles!  I couldn't resist.

Eastern Palace AGAIN!?!

I can't stress enough how unique this stamp set and matching dies from Stampin' Up!® are.  If you love playing and experimenting with your card making, this is the suite for you.  Add the dsp and the stickers and you have hundreds of unique combinations to create.

We recently created five projects in a class.

This one uses the new Very Vanilla notecards and envelopes.  Combining stickers and stamping and dsp.

This one showcases one of the foil pages in the dsp pack.  The Dapper Denim background sets off the gold.
