I love this technique. I have been fiddling around with it and made this masculine card using the Big Shot! AND I have managed to figure out how to return to the better method of photo loading.
Stamps: Afterthoughts (a Hostess set)
Card: Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze, Night of Navy
Ink: Marina Mist
Tools: Textured Impressions Square Lattice Embossing Folder, a variety of circle hole punches
Don't forget that it is Sale-a-Bration time. For every $100 ordered you can choose a free Sale-a-Bration stamp set. Click on the Sale-a-Bration picture on the side bar to look at the catalogue. Phone me on 55 765 469 to place an order, or email me at wheatonanna@hotmail.com
Thanks!

Inlaid Embossing
What do you think of this technique? It's called Inlaid Embossing. I found a card on Stampin' Connection, a site where demonstrators swap ideas. This is one of the cards we'll be doing at my Big Shot workshop. Thursday February 24th, 9.30 till 12 or 7 till 9.30. Email me if you'd like to attend wheatonanna@hotmail.com
You don't have to own a Big Shot to attend and you'll come away with some beautiful products.
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Card: Pink Pirouette, Rick Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Tools: Heart to Heart Punch, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Scallop Trim Border, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
I'll show you another card using this technique in my next post!

Open House Update
Open House was a big success and a fun afternoon. Thanks for buying raffle tickets for the flood relief! I took our $122 to Big W because they, together with Woolworths were matching donations dollar for dollar, which means, effectively we donated $244. This little receipt looks like I bought something but if you look carefully, you'll see it says "SAL ARMY FLOOD DON."
I lodged our donation on the last day that they were offering the 'dollar for dollar' pledge, then this advertisement appeared in the paper two days later...so our raffle contributed to a little part of that red thermometer! Thanks everyone for contributing.
Open House Make and Takes
This was one of our Make and Takes at Open House. This Easter Blossoms set in the Summer Mini is gorgeous and has a beautiful variety of images, not all of them specific to Easter. I love the blossom branch and it looks beautiful with the blossoms coloured.
One of our other projects was a Make and Leave. We made Mother's Day cards to be sent overseas to Australian troops. Thanks everyone for being part of such a great cause.

Open House
I have been a little slack with blog posts, holidays and all. Thanks to everyone who came to my Open House last Saturday. It was a fantastic turnout of positive people. After a workshop or Open House, there are always 'card guts' left over - that is, cardstock that has been cut for make and takes, but not used. If it's measured and cut, that's half the job done so I sat down and finished some of the cards that hadn't been completed. This is a little thankyou note we made up.
