Another card - two ways

This is another of the special occasion cards we made recently.  A wedding card.  My three thoughts about a wedding card were that it should be rich/regal, have sophistication and be weighty.  You know when you get a wedding invitation in the mail? - it feels heavier than any other mail.

This is the wedding card...

And this is the alternative which has a "For the Newlyweds" sentiment but this could easily be switched out for a Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary.

I found this design on Pinterest.

Stamps:  Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Card:  Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler
Tools: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits die, Full Heart Punch

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all my blog followers....yes you two over there!  Hee hee.  Sometimes I see a card and like bits and pieces of it.  Sometimes I see a card and want to copy the whole thing from top to bottom.  A beautiful card for Mother's Day was posted on our demonstrator forum by Sharon Meek.  I was planning on make a card for my mum and knew this was it.  My cards are not usually this fancy, but I wanted to do something special for mum.  Thanks Sharon for a beautiful design.

I had already wrapped Mum's pressie so changed the colours to suit.  The original was is Wisteria Wonder.  I also wrote the 'Mum' on my computer and printed it out on Very Vanilla as my alphabet set was too big.

And with the pressie?

Although I am now thinking I should change the ribbon on the present to Crumb Cake so that it completely matches the card.

Stamps:  Creative Elements
Card:  Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand, Certainly Celery
Ink:  Crumb Cake
Accessories:  Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper TEF, Perfect Polka Dots TEF, Floral Fusion Sizzlit die, Beautiful Wings Embosslits die, Ovals Originals die, Labels Collection Framelits die, Adoring Accent Edgelits die, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch, Bird Builder Punch
Accessories:  Basic Rhinestones, Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon

Whew!  Maybe part of the reason I keep my cards simpler is so that I don't have to write out such a long recipe!

Birds' Butts/Rosebud

I made this card for my launch to demonstrate the versatility of the Two-Step Bird Punch.  My son looked at it for a few seconds then said, "Oh...that's the birds' butts sticking up!"  You can tell he'll be a romantic.

Here's the card.

This is not my design but I wanted to show it as it is a great example of ways to use the bird punch differently.  This is a CASE from Julia's Cards .  It uses all the parts of the Two-Step Bird punch and a little sponging around the edges of the pieces to give them depth.

Stamps:  None!
Card: Basic Black, Certain Celery, Pink Pirouette
Ink:  Certain Celery, Pink Pirouette
Tools:  Big Shot - Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Two-Step Bird Punch, Big Shot - Ovals Die, Stamping Sponges
