Raising Money for Breast Cancer Research

Recently a group of Stampin' Up! enthusiasts gathered together in Brisbane to raise money for Breast Cancer research.  It was a lovely morning of creativity.

All up we helped raise $1100 dollars through sales of the Strength and Hope stamp set and raffles of products donated by Stampin' Up!

A pink morning and afternoon was had by all.

We completed four projects, chatted, swapped ideas and ate cupcakes...all while supporting a very worthy cause.  Below are the projects we made.  Thanks Susan (on the left) and Jenny (on the right).  Sorry you are shiney Jenny!

To read a little more about the event, go to Liz's blog by clicking HERE.
These events that are held throughout the year are a fantastic way to regenerate your creativity in a feel good way!  Keep an ear and an eye out for our Christmas fundraiser coming soon!

Happy I Do Day

Another card done with the Big Shot.  Did you know that if you purchase your Big Shot from me, you receive $60 worth of free classes?
This card is so easy to make using the Elegant Lines Embossing folder and the Word Play stamp set.
I love the combination of Black and White for a wedding card and a Rhinestone adds a sparkly touch.

Stamps:  Word Play
Card:  Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink:  Basic Black
Tools:  Big Shot, Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Scallop Circle Punch, 3.5 cm Circle Punch
Accessories:  Basic Rhinestones

Look Mum, No Stamps!

I have been filling a card order for Candlewick House (for yummy candles, sniff here).  This simple design makes the most of Stampin' Up! colours rather than the stamps.  The sentiment is actually computer generated.

These are quite quick to make and the corner rounder punch on the coloured squares adds pizzazz.

This purple card uses one of our beautiful Vintage Brads.

A Sizzlit button from the Big Shot adds the detail on this card.

Another CASE

Another wonderful blog I visit for inspiration belongs to Carrie Gaskin,  a Canadian SU! demonstrator (because we all know how wonderful Canadians are, don't we?)  She has an unusual style that is very eye catching.  I saw this design and wanted to try it out using a different stamp set.   I have just purchased Elements of Style which has been on my wish list forever, so I tried my own interpretation.  I loved her colour choices so I stuck with them.

The background swirl is done using clear embossing powder.

Stamps:  Elements of Style
Card:  More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler, Neutrals DSP Paper Patterns Stack
Ink:  Versamark, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black
Tools:  Decorative Label Punch
Accessories:  Vintage Trinkets (my fave)

Love and Care CASE

If you haven't visited Tenneale Williams' blog yet, it is worth a visit.  Each of her cards is a work of art.  My card below is a CASE of one of her beautiful designs.  Again, the flower and stem are so easy to colour separately, using the Stampin' Write markers.  I have used Concord Crush and Old Olive.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

This sentiment is from Bring On the Cake in the current mini.

Gift With Purchase

Here's another project showcasing the free buttons and ribbons.  I have used the Fresh Cut Notes (page 123 of the catalogue) and put some of the DSP Patterned stacks in behind the card front.  Nice and bright to cheer up Winter.  This gift with purchase is only available till the end of the month.  Please give me a call if you would like to place an order.

And here is one of the cards close up.

Markers to Stamp - Love and Care

The new Level Two Hostess set in the current mini is gorgeous.  I am having so much fun with it.  The images are so well suited to inking up with our Stampin' Write markers.  I have chosen Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz to ink up the blossoms and stems separately for this simple card.  The ink colours are repeated in the layers of cardstock and show up beautifully on a crisp white background.  If you would like to host a demonstration where sales could achieve this stamp set for you, give me a call on 55 765 469.

Stamps:  Love and Care
Card:  Whisper White, Poppy Parade,  Pear Pizzazz
Ink:  Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories:  Whisper White 3.2mm Taffeta Ribbon

Gift With Purchase

Don't forget that this month's promotion is a gift with purchase.  I have been having a play with the buttons and ribbon and they are a beautiful bright combination.  Contact me if you would like to place an order.  A $100 order gives you a spool of ribbon and 48 buttons.

Fast and Fabulous

The set is called Fast and Fabulous and this is a great example of a beautiful card that is quick to pull together.  The set is a now retired hostess set but there are many other sets that could be used in its place.  The combination of Concord Crush and Pretty in Pink is even prettier in real life.

Stamps:  Fast and Fabulous (retired)
Card:  Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla, Lap of Luxury DSP
Ink:  Concord Crush
Tools:  Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch

A case of a case

I have made and blogged this card before HERE but have been wanting to try it in another colour combination.  It is a case from Dawn Olchefske's blog.  I am really happy with the pink and white combination.

Stamps:  Punch Bunch
Card:  Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Ink:  Pretty in Pink
Tools:  Big Shot, Tasteful Trims Die, Scallop Square Punch

Another.....Telescoping Circles Card

I think whoever thought this card up should have named it with a shorter name!  Typing out Telescoping Circles Card takes too long!

I made up a few samples of cards using the Woodlands Walk DSP for my upline Liz.  It was fun returning to the DSP again and again and thinking of new ideas.  Of course I had to try a TCC (my new name!)

The circles are cut using the Circles #2 Originals die with the Big Shot!
I love how the paper came together to suggest the owl's home.
