Mosaic Madness and Soho Subway

Stampin' Up! have come out with some fabulous punch shapes in the new catalogue including the Mosaic Punch.  It combines beautifully with the Mosaic Madness stamp set, or can be used on its own to punch cardstock and DSP.

Here I have used the Mosaic Punch with the Soho Subway DSP...and a little sponging on the edges.

  • The thank you is snipped from a larger image in the Hello Lovely stamp set.
  • Sponging the edges of the punched pieces, the sentiment and the card layer pulls the card design together and reflects the feel of the DSP.
  • Pop some of the mosaic shapes onto Dimensionals for a 3D effect.

Here's the same idea on Crumb Cake rather than Very Vanilla.

Don't forget that the Mosaic Madness stamp set and co-ordinating punch can be purchased as a bundle for 15% off.

BUNDLE AND SAVE:  Mosaic Madness Bundle gives you a 15% discount
Wood-mount Bundle (#132734) $65.25
Clear-Mount Bundle (#132733) $54.95

Gingham Garden and Label Love

These tags were a cinch to whip up.

They are just rectangles of Whisper White cardstock with strips of Gingham Garden DSP adhered along the bottom.

I have added interest to the Label Love sentiment with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch and a co-ordinating circle folded in half at the top.

A pretty set!

Chocolate Treats - Gingham Garden

Chocolate is a great gift....Chocolate wrapped up in Gingham Garden DSP is better.  Chocolate wrapped up in Gingham Garden DSP AND decorated with Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape is even better than better!

This is one of the samples I had on display at our launch.

  • Cute details are added to each wrapped chocolate using the Petite Curly Label punch and the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.
  • Don't forget the rhinestones for the added bling!

Simple but soooo effective

This is another set of tags we made at a recent class.  They are so easy to make.

We used the Stippled Blossoms stamp set which is a two step stamp set.  When you stamp the first layer in a light colour it seems fairly ordinary but when you stamp the second layer over the top in a darker colour...WOW!  It is a fantastic effect.

The tag shape is made using the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  One shape has a half circle at each end, so we trimmed one off and punched a hole in the other.

Stamps:  Stippled Blossoms

Card:  Whisper White
Ink:  Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant, Pink Pirouette and Raspberry Ripple, Crumb cake and Early Espresso, Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral
Tools:  Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits
Accessories:  Whisper White Bakers Twine.

Launch Make and Takes

At our launch on Saturday we had plenty to do for busy hands.

We had five Make and Takes and one Make and Leave.

First:  a pair of mini notecards using Washi Tape.

We have a fundraising set for Ronald McDonald House, so this Make and Take used one of those images and gave the ladies a chance to use the new Magnetic Plate on the Big Shot.

This gift tag was a CASE from Becky Roberts.

And we experimented with the Mosaic Madness stamp set and matching Embossing Folder.

We also had a masculine card using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set which was a simplified version of the neutral card in this post.

And lastly we had a very simple design for a Make and Leave for the Cards for Troops initiative.

And the Winner is....

Thanks to the ladies who placed orders on the day of our Annual Catalogue Launch.

Last night Teresa and I did the draw with Teresa pulling out the winning ticket - lucky because she has nicer hands for photographing than I do.  For every $10 ordered, customers had a ticket in the draw.

And the $30 goes to.....

Congratulations Hazel - you receive a $30 gift voucher to spend on your next order.

Thanks again to everyone who attended our launch!

Launch Pics

We were flat strap setting up for our launch.  For the first time it wasn't at my place so nothing could be set up beforehand.  And we had people arrive early, so I did not get round to take the photos I had hoped!  But I have a few:

Because there were more of us helping, we were able to run some demonstrations of products.  This is Jenny's Big Shot display.

Jessica and her mum Jill prepared some fantastic Punch Art samples.  I wish I had some close ups to show you.  Can you see the Minny Mouse I the top left corner of the table?  That's invitations for a party for Jessica's daughter.

As always Stampin' Up! donated a box of goodies to raffle.  We raised $260 for the Gold Coast Children's Hospital.

Jessica demonstrating the Stamp-a-ma-Jig.

Ladies hard at work.

Thanks to everyone who attended.  It was a fun afternoon for a worthwhile cause.
