Fresh Vintage Alternative

The flourish from the SAB set Fresh Vintage is stunning but the smaller elements have plenty to offer too.

Here are a couple of cards combining Pool Party with Cherry Cobbler.  Yum!  These colours show up well against the crisp Whisper White and trimmed with Whisper White Baker's Twine.

This DSP won't stay forever

I know I have already said that I am loving the SAB  DSP.  I have been experimenting with more cards - when the paper is free, you can do a lot of experimenting, right?  This paper will finish at the end of March so if you'd like some, place your order with me by the 31st.

I used my Stampin' Write Markers to colour the stamp so that I could achieve two colours on the one image. 

Love the ribbon and brad?  That's another freebee throughout SAB.

No.#3?

Quite a few of the new stamp sets coming through feature numerals.  There's been a bit of a discussion on the SU! forum as to why and SU!s official response is that it is 'a current trend.'  And we thought it was some deep and meaningful reason!  Whatever the reason, they are very cute.

Here's a simple card I made for my launch, featuring the '3' stamp from Fresh Vintage.  I used four threes...  so does that make it a card for a mathematical 12 year old?

A simple design using Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke.

Here's an even simpler one.

Love that shine on the Seam Binding Ribbon.

Ooh..now that I look at that photo, I think my ribbon tying mojo had gone missing!

Postage Stamp Punch Workout

One of my faves from the Summer Mini is the Postage Stamp Punch.  It co-ordinates perfectly with Pretty Postage but also with one of the SAB sets - Fresh Vintage. 

I saw this design on Chat Wszelaki's blog and loved the way the square stamp was placed over the floral image.

I also thought the contrast of the Melon Mambo and Early Espresso was striking.

Bright Birthday

One of my favourite Aussie blogs to visit is Kirsty Brown's.  She is a Queensland demonstrator who has such a flair for beautiful designs.   This card below was inspired by one of hers and I adapted it to use a SAB set.

The sentiment is one of my favourites at the moment and is from Happiest Birthday Wishes, one of the Hostess sets.

I used the floral image from Fresh Vintage, inking it up with my Stampin' Write Markers to achieve the different colours.

For the make and take we Versamarked the floral image on the butterfly but when I made up all the left overs I sprinkled clear embossing powder over the image and heated it to get that glossy effect.
