Fun Frame

I have been asked to create a sampler frame for a customer using arty images.  Much harder than the Christmas frames but I think I succeeded.

With a combination of hand stamped images and punch art, I came up with 16 x 5cm panels!  I thought primary colours were the best option plus a few secondary colours for variety.  The frame is from Ikea.  Don't know what I will do if they ever stop selling those!

And there is a little sneak peek in there of a new stamp set coming called, Painter's Palette.  I have to say that it arrived just in time as I was really stuck for 16 ideas!  Thanks for stopping by!

Team Lorikeet

I have a wonderful team of demonstrators who have joined up to enjoy the magic of stamping and the fabulous discount.  I even have a team member in Perth and one in Chinchilla!

The other  fun part of being an SU! demonstrator is the fun events where we get together.  On Wednesday of last week we had a team meeting which was a first for some who attended.

I had to get creative with the setting up of my lounge room but we fitted! Angela took my photos for me so she is behind the camera.

We'd just been to Onstage so my display was easy - swaps from other demonstrators.

And Lynn brought hers along too.  Thanks Lynn!

I gave my team members a challenge to make a card or two using the Go Wild DSP.  All up we had more than 15 entries and such a variety of interpretations.  We had some really clever ideas.

Lynne R won best card...and she doesn't know it yet - looking forward to giving her her prize on Thursday.

Jessica won best bling for her use of these red enamel dots.  This was a great boost for Jessica as she has not had enough time to craft this past year.

And Cathy, who joined just recently, won best clean and simple with this lovely card.

We had a prize just for entering....which was won by Christine.

And we did two make and takes using new products from Onstage...

This card was CASEd from Jessica Williams, one of Stampin' Up!s Artisans.  This is a new set coming called Sitting Here.

And Jenny, one of the team members won this set in Prize Patrol and generously leant it to me to prepare the make and take - SHE LET ME TAKE IT HOME!! FROM ONSTAGE!!  Is this teddy the cutest bear ever??  He/she is a three step stamp which we layered for detail.  You can almost tickle her furry tummy.

All up we had a fun night of stamping and socializing!

If you would like a fantastic discount of at least 20% on all SU! products and be part of my team, you can join for $169 and get $235 of products.  That's $66 of products for FREE!

Saying Goodbye

It's always sad when the retirement list comes out (first world problem kinda sad!)  Some of our faves are going but I can guarantee that you will LOVE what is in the new catalogue!!!

It's a big list so I thought I would show you a few of my favourites that are leaving.

The Bird Punch is $31.  Sad to see this one go!

Love jazzing up my envelopes with the Envelope Liner Framelits $41

Any word die is alright by me.  These are going at $25.

I know a lot of you have the Diagonal Plate on your wish list.  This is reduced to half price - $10.50
These cute punches are already on low inventory.  The flower must be my most used punch!  $30

I don't know why the Ornate Tag Topper Punch is retiring.  Was it something I said??  Have I not told it that I love it often enough??   Reduced to $22.80.

I use these little white envelopes a lot.  If you have ever ordered from me you have probably received a mini card with one of these.  $13.25 for 40.
Love this stamp set and the variety of fonts!  And Many More is $35.25 (down from $47!) in clear mount or $49.50 (down from $66) in wood mount!

Onstage! Gold Coast! 2016!

On Saturday eight members of my team 'The Lorikeet Stampers' attended Stampin' Up!s Onstage.  It's such a fun day!

We begin the day in the foyer and swap!  This is totally optional but it's a great way to get into the spirit of the day and catch up with other demonstrators.

I made 36 of these!

The card base is made using Kraft cardstock.  The leaves are cut using the Botanical Builder Framelits from vellum AND the brown paper that comes in our orders.  (And I still have some left!  Ha ha!)

In return, I received a whole bunch of beautiful card fronts.  So many ideas here!  If you are coming to my next class or to my team meeting, you can see them 'in the flesh'.

One beautiful swap was made by Karen, one of my team members.   This cute little box is made using the Envelope Punch Board  I should have chosen a better colour (she had a variety) for photographic purposes!  These were so perfectly made and very popular.  They went like hotcakes!!  Inside is a packet of Maltesers AND THEY ARE STILL THERE!

I wanted to give my team members a little useful something:  These are scissor charms that I made using shrink plastic!  We are The Lorikeet Stampers, so these are lorikeet feathers.

And this is a charming pair of scissors!

I took heaps of photos on my phone but can't get them onto my computer!!!  So I will have to wait till I get my order!

What's great about being a demonstrator????
  • for $169 you get $235 of products
  • you get 20% minimum discount on all products
  • you become part of my team, The Lorikeet Stampers
  • you are welcome to attend team meetings, take part in challenges and enjoy the fun of stamping with friends
  • as a demonstrator you can attend exciting events like Onstage!
Contact me if you would like more information!  Hobby demonstrators are VERY welcome!

Thanks for stopping by!

Number of Years

I used the Number of Years stamp set and matching Framelits dies to create this card for a special anniversary.

The layout inspiration came straight from the catalogue.

I love the size of these numbers - they become the main feature of the card.

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Birthday Bouquet DSP
Stamps:  Number of Years (page 11 of the Occasions catalogue)
Tools:  Large Numbers Framelits Dies
Ink:  Rose Red, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Wild Wasabi

Sheltering Trees Part 2 and a thank you for donated money

Last year I ran a class using the stamp set Sheltering Trees.  It was such a success that we did an encore class today, creating brand new cards with new techniques.

We created a frame using the Leaflet Thinlits and sponged through it with Sponge Daubers.

This one uses Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Night of Navy.  The tree is stamped with Black Memento Ink.  Love that sparkly Pool Party Ribbon.

This one was stamped with Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Real Red.  We then used images from the Perpetual Calendar stamp set to stamp into the tree shape, before removing the mask.

The instructions for these beautiful cards can be found in this video created by Tami White, a American Demonstrator.

We then created a slightly different version with spritzing.

Here's my mask - I used it for all three cards.  For the spritzing, I made up a mixture of 20 drops of Delightful Dijon into one of our Stampin' Spritzers and topped it up with rubbing alcohol.  The other colour is Blackberry Bliss which is a fairly intense colour so I used about 10 drops then topped up with rubbing alcohol.

And Pam, one of the ladies from this morning's class just sent through this pic, as it reminded her of the cards we made.  Definitely some spritzing effect there!  Thanks Pam.

The artist is Elke Memmier .

And last but not least we have received a receipt from the Gold Coast Hospital for the money we raised from our raffle at the catalogue launch in January.  $182 donated from you lovely people!  Thanks to everyone who contributed.  We have another launch coming up in June!  Stay tuned!!

If you are interested in my classes I keep an updated timetable HERE.   They are held in my home in Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast!  Email me at wheatonanna@hotmail.com for more details.

Thanks for stopping by!

Shine On!

Have you seen this week's Weekly Deals?  There are a lot!  Weekly Deals are offered mostly to clear overstocked inventory which is why the most popular catalogue items don't come up on special.  Darn it, right?  This week though, we have been offered a whole bunch of deals...

Weekly Deals finish up on April 19th...so a few weeks to go.  Stampin' Up! has announced that it will replace Weekly Deals with Special Deals - less frequent but more exciting.  We look forward to THAT!

But...did you know that we have specials ALL the time?

Throughout the catalogue we offer bundles - 15% off when you pair, for example, a stamp set with its matching framelits or punch.  These are in both the Annual and Occasions catalogues.

We have a Clearance Rack which is stocked with retired items on great discount - some up to 60% off.

And the best deal of all is the Starter Kit -  join Stampin' Up! for $169 and choose $235 worth of items - that's $65 FREE.  Then...receive a minimum 20% discount on future purchases!

While you are thinking about those amazing deals, let me show you a card made with my favourite DSP, Shine On.  It has silver patterns on one side and vividly coloured patterns on the other.

And here are some projects from the catalogue.

Many products from the Occasions and Annual catalogue will retire at the end of May....don't leave it too late to order your favourites!

And remember if your wish list is looong, join my team The Lorikeet Stampers!  You can jloin online by using the link below!
