My workspace

This is a photo of my workspace while preparing a workshop!  The area gets smaller and smaller with all that I get out until I have to tidy up and start again!

A Farewell Card

At the eleventh hour I bought this stamp set from the Summer Mini.  So glad I did as it was perfect for making a card for some friends going overseas.  The paper co-ordinated beautifully.  I am going to use these sets to make a travel book for Zac - he loves keeping a record of our day to day experiences when we go on holidays.

Stamps:  Sentimental Journey, Extreme Elements
Card:  Night of Navy, Whisper White, Travel Journal DSP
Ink:  Night of Navy, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie
Tools:  1" Circle Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch
Accessories:  Gold Brad

Another Baby Card

I have made a few baby cards lately, not that I know anyone having one, but I have had a shop order some cards.  If you like candles, check out Candlewick House.
The stamp on this card has long ago retired, but I thought it was a good demonstration of the new Decorative Label Punch.  See how it fits nicely behind the Oval Punch?
This card also uses my favourite edge punch: the Scallop Trim Border.

Stamps:  Punches Three (retired)
Card:  Pretty In Pink (I think!?)
Ink:   Pretty In Pink
Tools:  Decorative Label Punch, 5 x 3.5 cm Oval Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, 2mm Circle Punch
Accessories:  Gold Brads, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon

Baby Tees

I have been having a bit of a play with the Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel.  There are five different style jump suits on the wheel which you can either wheel out in a row, or cut out separately, as I have done here.

The little star on the Blushing Bride jump suit is done using paper piecing.  The So Saffron suit is coloured using blender pen.

I love the texture that the Big Shot embossing folders can add.

Don't forget that you can now buy patterned DSP in each of the colour families.  This is the Blushing Bride from the In Color Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack (page 127 of your catalogue)

Stamps:  Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel
Card:  Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Co-Ordinating DSP
Ink:  Blushing Bride, Certainly Celery, So Saffron
Tools:  Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots TEF, Square Latttice TEF (still available as a carryover item from the Summer Mini!)

A Sweet Summer Case

I found this design on Wendy Todd's blog and immediately wanted to try it out.  This is my first card using any of the 1.6cm Satin Ribbon - it's so lovely to work with.  Although this SAB set is now retired, this is a design that would be easy to adapt using another floral image.  This colour combo is Perfect Plum and Old Olive.

I tried it with Rose Red and Old Olive too.

Miss You Haiku

Haiku DSP was in our last catalogue and I am glad I still have some.  Combined with Asian Artistry, also retired, they produce a lovely result.  The cardstock - Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie are still around!  Might try this design with some current products!

Happy Birthday

One of the pluses of being a demonstrator is that I have access to card designs on our Stampin' Up! website.  This design is one that can easily be demonstrated in a workshop to highlight a whole bunch of products.  Don't you love the stamp sets that co-ordinate with the punches?  This stamp set was one we received FREE at convention.

Stamps:  Perfect Punches
Card:  Marina Mist, Certainly Celery, Cajun Craze, More Mustard
Ink:  Cajun Craze
Tools:  5 x 3.5 cm Oval Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper TEF
Accessories:  Paper Piercer

and another.  Thanks for looking!

Silhouette Sentiments...and a new punch

For everyone who is a fan of Stampin' Up! punches (and who isn't?) there is new punch called the Decorative Label Punch.  Used on this simple card, it helps to give the design a more sophisticated look.  The stamp is from a Level 1 Hostess set called Silhouette Sentiments which I have had for awhile but only just inked up.
Stamps:  Silhouette Sentiments
Card:  Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight
Ink:  Black Staz On
Tools:  Decorative Label Punch, Oval (5 x 3.5cm) Extra Large Punch
Accessories: Designer Buttons

Nature Walk

I made it to a meeting with my upline last week and this was the Make and Take that Liz designed, using the Nature Walk set from the new mini.  The stamp is inked up using Stampin' Write markers - to get different colours on the stamp.  There's a new Embossing Folder called Framed Tulips which we modified to be smaller.  You know how I always say not to rock your stamp in the ink?  See what I did around the no. 147 stamp??  Tsk  Tsk
