Some SAB Goodies

There are some wonderful things on offer during Sale-a-Bration.  So you remember the vellum stack from last year?  This year it's white vellum!

So pretty! Can you see the pattern in behind the coloured cardstock?

These treat holders are made using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and a new die from the Occasions catalogue.  It's called the Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits die.

You might like to check out Stampin' Up!s video below!

Lucky Door Prizes - made especially for the gift bags

So we had out Gift Bag class this week and it seemed only fitting that the Lucky Door Prize be something to go inside the gift bags.

These chocs were wrapped using the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper - leaving us on June 2!

And they fit nicely into the gift bags we made using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.

I also packaged up some Notecards with some wrapped chocolates in behind.

Which fit perfectly into the Bag in a Box.

My next class is on Tuesday June 2nd, morning and evening, and we are making Cards in a Crate.  Every year we make a set of 3 x 3 cards in some sort of box.  It's one of my favourite classes to plan and run.

This project is inspired by Allison Okamitsu one of the Artisan Team members and used the Petal Potpourri stamp set and Gold Soiree DSP.

If you would like to book into this class please phone me o 07 55 765 469 or email me at wheatonanna(at)hotmail.com

Lucky Dork Prize

Now I am not saying my ladies are dorks but when my son was younger I told him I was making a lucky door prize and he said, "Lucky dork prize??"  It was around that age when you wonder how he even knew the word 'dork.'

So here is the Lucky Door Prize for today's class.  We are making projects using Vellum in different ways so I have made some Mini Treat Bags.

One pair uses the Irresistably Yours DSP - a Sale-a-Bration freebee.

The other pair uses our delicious Fancy Foils Designer Vellum from the Annual catalogue.

Each Mini Treat Bag contains a cello bag with a few little vellum embellishments.

I was super pleased with how these turned out.

Buy the goodies by clicking on the pics at the bottom of the post.   It will take you to my online store!  Or you can phone me on 07 55 765 469 or email me at wheatonanna[at]hotmail!

I don't think you've bought that Thinlit yet...?

So remember I said there's this thinlit you need?  Remember?  The Mini Treat Bag thinlit?

Here it is again.  One thing I don't really need is more of the brown paper that Stampin' Up! uses to pad out our boxes  But it keeps coming, so I try to put it to good use.

These bags are made using that very brown paper!  Nope!  Didn't even iron it!

Inside is a card cut to size, and finished with some washi tape.

For the embellishments on the outside I used strips of washi on Whisper White then cut them out using the various shapes from the Mini Treat Bag set.  Not bad hey?

Stampin' Up! has some fabulous videos about its products.  Check out the one below.  I have had customers tell me that the videos can't always be viewed on the ipad - I am not sure why, so if you have a laptop, try that.

So There's This Thinlit You Need

My favourite Big Shot accessory from the Occasions Catalogue is the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit.  I didn't realize I needed it till I got it, so I thought I would give you the heads up....You know...save you losing sleep any longer.

The die makes the cutest little paper bags which I have shown you some of already.  But the even better part is, it has all sorts of other dies with it.  See the star? The 'For You'? The row of stars? These are just some of the extras in the set.

I found this design on Pinterest and followed its trail to Darlene McCallum.  These are so bright and fun using the DSP paper stacks and I used Silver Glimmer Paper for the 'For You'.

So you see?  You need it!  Go on...order it.  You are welcome!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget Sale-a-Bration means that if you order $90 worth of product you get to choose a SAB item for FREE.

Mini Treat Bag Thinlit

For cute packaging (think Valentine's Day coming up!) you have to have a play with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit.  Here's a baby version that was on show at my launch.

The tag is made using the One Tag Fits All stamp set which I paper pieced to get a matching duck!

Do you like the Bow Punch with the tails hanging down?

This would be perfect for a cute pair of socks or a baby singlet.

Big Day

When my son was little we used to finish the day with stories then we'd go through the events of the day and end by saying:  "Whadda whadda big big day...What was the best part of your day?" and he would choose the best thing that had happened.  Once it was that he had seen John Howard's face on a campaign poster!

This Sale-a-Bration stamp set is called Big Day. And I am sure John Howard would love it.

I love the sentiment:  Celebrate your big day with cake!"

I have attached it to one of our mini treat bags made using Birthday Bash Specialty DSP and our new thinlit die Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.  The  bags are just gorgeous and so easy to put together.

In this case I have inked up the stamp using my Stampin' Write Markers to get a range of colours.

The sentiment is attached to the bag using a couple of staples and our Handheld Stapler.

It was great fun to make and oh so cute.
