Mini Treat Bag Thinlit

For cute packaging (think Valentine's Day coming up!) you have to have a play with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit.  Here's a baby version that was on show at my launch.

The tag is made using the One Tag Fits All stamp set which I paper pieced to get a matching duck!

Do you like the Bow Punch with the tails hanging down?

This would be perfect for a cute pair of socks or a baby singlet.

13th

A lovely young lady we know turned 13 yesterday and this is her card.

I wanted to keep it clean and simple.

  • I used Strawberry Slush all the way!
  • The numbers were cut out using the Big Shot and a retired die set.
  • I cut out about 5 of each number in Strawberry Slush and Tombowed them together to make chipboard
  • The top layer is from the DSP stack
  • Once I stuck the number on the card front, I used Crystal Effects to cover the numbers - it gives a lovely finish
  • The butterfly and rhinestone added the finishing touches

Big Day Meets Birthday Bash Specialty DSP

Birthday cards beg to be bright don't they?  One of our brightest DSPs is Birthday Bash in the Occasions catalogue.  It even has bright for boys.

This card's bold blue stripes are perfect for a pretty simple card, but they give it some oomph!

The sentiment is three images from the stamp set, lined up using the Stamp-a-ma-Jig - perfect for non Photopolymer stamps.  I then coloured them in with Stampin' Write Markers.

If you want to see some other cards I have already posted using "Big Day" click HERE.

Don't forget that this is one of the stamp sets FREE with a $90 spend throughout Sale-a-Bration.

Arrr Me Hearties.

The Occasions Catalogue is all about...Occasions.  One such an occasion coming up is Valentine's Day - a bigger deal in the U.S. where SU! originates than here.  I couldn't go past this little guy though.  Coz' he can be used for other things!

His sentiment is "Valentine, you're a treasure" but I covered that with a post it and added a happy Birthday instead.

I had fun colouring him with my Blendabilities.  The treasure chest is actually coloured with Cherry Cobbler but it looks brown enough.

CASEing the Catalogue

I wish I knew more people getting married...I wish I knew any people getting married.  We have some gorgeous wedding sets in the catalogue.

This card design is taken directly from the Occasions Catalogue on page 42.  It uses Something Borrowed DSP which is just beautiful and comes with 4 sheets per design - great if you are wanting to make a set of invitations.

I have used an Aqua Painter in Pink Pirouette Ink to swish across the sentiment for some subtle colour.

Best Dad Ever

If you're not sold on the idea of photopolymer stamps, here's an idea that might convince you.

One of our fab SAB sets says BEST. DAY. EVER.  But this card says BEST. DAD. EVER.

This is where the photopolymer stamps are a must.

This is what the set looks like.

This is the card.

And this is what you do:
  • Ink up your stamp, using a Stampin' Write marker, but don't ink the "Y" in day or the full stop
  • Stamp the image - it will say "BEST. DA  EVER."  which might be appropriate depending on your circumstances!!
  • Clean your stamp off and ink up the "D" at the start of "DAY"
  • Hover over your stamped image and stamp the "D" after "DA" to spell "DAD". You can get perfect placement because you can see through the stamp!
  • Clean off your stamp and ink up the full stop and stamp it after "DAD"
Easy!  I love finding other uses for stamps!

Best Day Ever is FREE when you spend $90 on any Stampin' Up! products.
