Sad Farewell

One of my favourite sets to retire is Pun Fun.  It is so versatile with its pictures and funny punny sentiments.  Here's a quick birthday card in Daffodil Delight and Cherry Cobbler.  I hurried my water colouring so there is a little bit of bleeding.

Tomorrow is the last day to order any retired items....which means that on Thursday, the NEW catalogue begins.  Yippee!

Father's Day Treats

My son's school is having a Father's Day stall this week so I have made up some treat bags to sell.  It was very quick and easy with the Big Shot and the Top Note die.

I liked packaging the Licorice Allsorts with striped ribbon.

Introducing...the new In Colors

Come September, Stampin' Up! will introduce five new In Colors to complement the rest of the colour range.  All five a just beautiful!  Thought I would give you a sample of what they are like.

In all these samples, the card base, the top butterfly and the sentiment are done in the new colour.  The card style is inspired by Kirsty Brown.

First up... Calypso Coral which I have teamed with Peach Parfait.

These butterflies are put together using the Big Shot Beautiful Butterflies die and the Embosslits beautiful wings die.

Next up Wisteria Wonder - I have been hoping for a lavendar shade to be introduced.  This one I have teamed with Concord Crush.  Yummeeee.

Do you like the flourish?  One of our free stamp sets from Convention was Creative Elements.  I love this delicate touch.

Another In Color:  Lucky Limeade.  Remember Kiwi Kiss?  This new colour reminds me very much of that old favourite.

I have added some Stick on Basic Pearls for a touch of elegance.

Pool Party is a light subtle colour which I have teamed with Tempting Turquoise, one of our Brights.

And last but not least, Island Indigo, contrasting below with Bashful Blue.

The For You sentiment is from the Elements of Style stamp set and is punched out with a 1" circle punch.

Stay tuned for more sneak peeks.

If you are interested in seeing more samples from the new catalogue, I am having a launch at my house at the beginning of September.  Email me for more details.  Can't come but want a new catalogue?  I can have one ready to mail to you on September 1st.  Cost is $12.95 including postage.  Contact me for more details.

Thanks for visiting!

Two Tags die and a new Colour

Stampin' Up! is introducing five new In Colours in the new catalogue.  Our current In-Colours will stay around for another year so we have a total of 50 colours to work with!  This is Wisteria Wonder, a beautiful subtle tone.  Again I have used the Two Tags die, coming in September, which has (as the name suggests) two different shaped gift tags.

The butterflies are made using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit for the Big Shot.

A little rhinestone adds a touch of sparkle.

A Thankyou

A small departure from the retiring samples and sneak peeks.  My son has had a fabulous soccer coach for his first season of the game.  His last game is this Saturday and I have made the card for the team to sign.  The team colours are red and black...can you tell??  I have based this card on a beautiful design from awhile ago, by Carrie Gaskin,  a Canadian demonstrator, who created a good-bye card for a teacher.  At the time, I bookmarked her design as it was so clever, knowing I would use the idea if the opportunity arose.

I love the All in the Family set and all its variations.  I was a little out of alignment with this arm on the little guy below!

One team member had very long hair.  After I made the card (see below) he arrived at training with a crew cut!

LOVE the Big Shot letters and numbers - so useful for this type of card.

Check out Carrie's blog, Artistic Avenger for more fantastic inspiration.
Stamps:  All in the Family, Family Favourites
Card:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red
Ink:  Basic Black, Real Red, Baja Breeze
Tools:  Big Shot, Simple Letters Alphabet die, Pinking Hearts Border Punch

Bye Bye Cheep Talk

This is a lovely cheerful stamp set that is great for kids cards especially.  This is a pic I posted way back but I thought it was a good one to revisit to show you this set.   The card is a CASE from Kween Bee Creations - I loved her use of the circle punches around the images.

If you would like to order it or any other retiring products, email me at wheatonanna@hotmail.com.  To check the list of retiring products, click on the link on the left side bar of my blog.

Two Tags Die sneak peek

I had my fingers crossed that this particular die would make it into our catalogue.  As the name suggests, there are two tags on the die and they are both so versatile.  Just run it through the Big Shot and two tags pop out.
In this sample I have used one of the tags as part of the card front.  The Scallop Circle Punch co-ordinates to layer on top.  Love it.

The stamp is from the now retired Punch Bunch which I still love and use often.

Stamps:  Punch Bunch
Card:  Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive
Ink:  Basic Black, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie
Tools:  Big Shot, Two Tags die, 3.5 cm circle punch, 3.2 cm circle punch

Another Peak

Another Convention creation made using the Creative Elements set, coming in the new catalogue.  I love cards that are a different dimension and we have some lovely long envelopes to put them in.  Don't you love the two tone butterfly?  That has been inked up using three Stampin' Write markers.  We also used a crimper to give the envelope and card some texture.  This has to be one of my most underused tools.  I'll have to dig it out and put it back into action!

So Long Designer Label and Little Oval Punch

Stampin' Up! continues to introduce fantastic new punches so it is only natural that they have to let some go.  Our Designer Label punch, which is particularly useful for male cards, and our smallest oval punch are both retiring.  Here are some simple thankyou cards which use the Designer Label Punch in Not Quite Navy.  The small oval is used also to punch around the thankyou.

If you have not already looked at the retiring list, click on the link on my sidebar.  If you wish to place an order, email me or phone me on 55 765 469.
Thanks!

Sneak Peek

While it's time to say good-bye to some products that are retiring, it's also time to say hello to some new ones.

Creative Elements was one of the FREE stamp sets we received at Convention this year.  We then used it to do our fabulous Make and Takes.

I love this flower!  I can see some beautiful layering happening with this set in the future.  The flower on the card and the envelope are covered with Shimmer Paint.

And a slightly fuzzy close up.

Keep watching my blog for more sneak peeks and also some farewells.
