Last gasp - my last class of the year

The final class for the year was a Christmas bags and boxes class.  Thanks to everyone who came along!  And thanks for bringing Christmas goodies.

 

These cute Gift Card holders were designed by another Aussie demonstrator, Clare Daly.  Easy to make and you can get three of the bases out of an A4 sheet.

And these were a pleaser..   We used the Curvy Keepsake die to cut out our Plum Pudding bases in Early Espresso.  I had already cut out the Very Vanilla panels then the ladies cut the custard drips out freehand.  It's amazing how the drips varied.

The holly leaves were pre-prepared using an electronic cutter and the berries were punched out of red glimmer paper!

I am sure when SU! releases some of their products, they have no idea how many ideas will come from it.  There are people out there brimming with creativity...and there are people out there CASEing their creativity.  (That would be me!)

I saw this cute little guy on Pinterest and had to try him out.  He is so easy to make with a few punches.



Wouldn't little kids love this at their place setting or at a party?

Curvy Keepsake Die

I have a few Curvy Keepsake projects to show you over the next week.  This is such a CUTE die!

 

This is one of the projects we made at the Christmas Charity Day.  The ladies got to make two of these, using Whisper White cardstock and their All is Calm washi tape.

 



The silver ribbon holds the All is Calm Snowflake charm...like a charm.

Curvy Keepsakes Box Thinlits Die

Looking for a quick and easy way to package Christmas goodies??

Our Holiday Catalogue has lots of ideas but one of my favourites is the Curvy Keepsake Box.  Too cute.

The main shape needs to be cut twice, or through two layers if you are using thinner paper. Then it's stuck together at the base and ta da!

The box cuts its own little slits, which go over the handles to hold the whole thing closed.

The die also includes three small tags (square, oval and circle).

This was so quick to put together I was almost finished before I started. 


You can get one box out of 1/2 a 12 x 12 sheet.  I used the Under the Tree Designer Specialty DSP which has a little more weight to it.
