What do you think of this technique? It's called Inlaid Embossing. I found a card on Stampin' Connection, a site where demonstrators swap ideas. This is one of the cards we'll be doing at my Big Shot workshop. Thursday February 24th, 9.30 till 12 or 7 till 9.30. Email me if you'd like to attend firstname.lastname@example.org
You don't have to own a Big Shot to attend and you'll come away with some beautiful products.

Open House was a big success and a fun afternoon. Thanks for buying raffle tickets for the flood relief! I took our $122 to Big W because they, together with Woolworths were matching donations dollar for dollar, which means, effectively we donated $244. This little receipt looks like I bought something but if you look carefully, you'll see it says "SAL ARMY FLOOD DON."
I lodged our donation on the last day that they were offering the 'dollar for dollar' pledge, then this advertisement appeared in the paper two days later...so our raffle contributed to a little part of that red thermometer! Thanks everyone for contributing.
This was one of our Make and Takes at Open House. This Easter Blossoms set in the Summer Mini is gorgeous and has a beautiful variety of images, not all of them specific to Easter. I love the blossom branch and it looks beautiful with the blossoms coloured.
One of our other projects was a Make and Leave. We made Mother's Day cards to be sent overseas to Australian troops. Thanks everyone for being part of such a great cause.

I have been a little slack with blog posts, holidays and all. Thanks to everyone who came to my Open House last Saturday. It was a fantastic turnout of positive people. After a workshop or Open House, there are always 'card guts' left over - that is, cardstock that has been cut for make and takes, but not used. If it's measured and cut, that's half the job done so I sat down and finished some of the cards that hadn't been completed. This is a little thankyou note we made up.

Stampin' Up! has announced that they will donate $2 of the retail value of sales from any stamp set (of $30 or more value) sold from 15 January through to 15 February to the State Emergency Services of Queensland.
Contact me if you would like to place an order! And stay tuned for Sale-a-Bration which will overlap with this appeal.

This is one of the quickest cards I have ever made. I ran the Blossom Party die through the Big Shot three times to get three colours then layered them to make these beautiful flowers. A greeting stamped in co-ordinating ink finishes the card in a flash.
