Christmas Charity Workshop! Fundraising and FUNraising

On Saturday we held our Annual Christmas Charity Day!  Our wonderful team The Lorikeet Stampers banded together to prepare and run this amazing event!  One of the things I love about Stampin' Up! ® is that it provides me with a platform to hold such events, gather people together and give to worthy causes.

Thanks to everyone involved - many hours go into cutting and packing the kits, team members prepare samples for display, they advertise to their customers, everyone helps set up, biscuits are baked, snacks are packaged, raffle prizes are gathered and wrapped.  On the day, team members participate or run tables, help set up and pack away. The help is so generous!

We had 10 tables altogether (I missed getting a shot of one of the tables!) and the ladies were guided through their projects by our team of demonstrators.

To inspire our customers we had some beautiful displays..

And we had a magnificent raffle which raised over $1010.

The money will be used to continue to provide our footprint cards and kits to Gold Coast University Hospital, our cards and invitations deliveries to Meals on Wheels and our cards and products for Hope In a Suitcase.

I was delighted to receive a beautiful bunch of flowers and gorgeous card at the close of the day.

Thank you to all who came along and took part in such a fun day.  As always the day is the culmination of many contributions and I am so grateful for all involved.

If you would like to be involved in these days in the future and you don't yet receive my emails, contact me on wheatonanna@hotmail.com

Silver Day

Part of the joy of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is that you can be part of the family as a hobby demonstrator (buying for the discount) OR you can work your way up and earn titles for sales and team building.  This Saturday just past I held a special Silver morning for those in my team who reached or stayed Silver and above this SU! year.

Five ladies were able to attend and we created a special framed project and shared lunch.

This was the place setting that greeted them including a silver pen and some silver choccies.  The box is a frame for the making of their project....

While it looks like a beautiful day it's rainy outside and therefore a great day to craft. (Come to think of it, a sunny day is a great day to craft too!)

Here's Michelle and Jenny - the project was a 6 x 6" 3D scene with a lighthouse.

Loretta and I - Loretta used her box decoration to also decorate her neck! Lol.

And Angela and Donna. Angela has her project in her frame - ready to go.

It was a fun morning and a great opportunity to gather and swap stories.

Thanks Donna for being the consistently fun!

If you love the project, I will run a class on it soon.  The tutorial is created by Mikaela Titheridge, a UK demonstrator.  You can find her web site here.

If you would like to know more about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I would love to answer your questions.  Drop me a line at wheatonanna@hotmail.com or check this link to read some FAQ's.

Sale-a-Bration Rings of Love DSP

We are entering the last week of Stampin' Up!s ® Sale-a-Bration.  That's FREE SAB products with every $90 ordered!

One of the sleeper items is the gorgeous Rings of Love DSP.  Let me show you its gorgeousness.  The prints are designed to work across the whole catalogue, with a variety of prints and colours!

Fussy cutting is an option with this print - and it's a great masculine option.

The hippos are a Sale-a-Bration item too.  They are so cute and perfect for adults and kids!!  Who doesn't love a hippo??

Another great background or opportunity to fussy cut!!

This card features two of the prints on one card.

How about two idea for the one print?  Hippos and flowers!

Twelve gorgeous options and all FREE with a $90 order.

Just remember that some extras have been added to the SAB offerings.

Sale-a-Bration Tree Lot Dies

Sale-a-Bration is a fabulous promotion from Stampin' Up!® to give you rewards on your purchases.  You get FREE items for every $90 you spend and there are also higher value items on a $180 spend.

This week on Facebook I have been focussed on the Tree Lot Dies.  These fun dies coordinate with the Trees for Sale set on page 39 of the Mini Catalogue.

If you love paper piecing, this set is fun to apply this technique to - creating colourful caravans.  The kombi is from Driving By, a retired SAB set from last year.

Both of the cards below were super simple using the caravan die - don't you love the little window curtain??

If you are stuck with how to fill the big space on a card front - pull the space in a little with a shape such as a circle.  This helps to create a focal point or scene.

My last card uses the stamp set Trees for Sale.  This gives you the opportunity to combine stamps and dies in your scene.  More of the teeny dies from the set can be seen in this card - the bunting the li'l Christmas wreath and the 'trees for sale' sign.

Remember that these dies are FREE when you order $180 or more during Sale-a-Bration.

June 2022 Charity Day

Welcome to my blog!
On Saturday we held one of our fun and fabulous charity days!  These days are both fundraising and FUNraising - lots of fun and a chance to raise money for a good cause, thanks to our raffle with prizes generously donated by Stampin' Up! ®

42 ladies attended for a fun day of crafting and to raise money for the Gold Coast University Hospital Footprint cards, Robina Hospitals Craft Kits and Meals on Wheels!

Other than the fun projects (which I will show you in another post), there's always fun surprises like Golden Tickets, hidden in people's kits.

And Lucky Door Prizes

I love running these days with my team - we always have lots of laughs together.

All up we raised $720 for charity!  The prizes for our raffle were generously donated by Stampin' Up!®

Thanks to everyone who came, helped prepare the kits and displays and helped run the day.  A HUGE thanks to Maree who always organises our food behind the scenes.
