Super Simple Christmas idea

Here's a really easy way to make a bunch of Christmas gifts - you know when you want a small gift that is not too expensive?

I made these for my ladies attending the final class for the year.

These are paper tubes made out of DSP, stapled at each end, then embellished with all things Christmas.

I used the Season of Cheer DSP and our cute Reindeer Paper Clips along with the Real Red Pom Pom Trim.

Cut your DSP to suit the size of the treat.  I bought these Santas at Coles.

Don't leave it too late to order your supplies for Christmas cards and gifts!

Merry

Here's the third card we made in our Stamp-a-Stack.

An easy combination of Big Shot tricks and simple stamping.  Unfortunately I am showing you a card using three sets of retired stamps!  So don't love it too much.  See?  I saved you money!

Whenever I am getting a class ready, the hardest part is coming up with the designs.  I swap ideas, throw things out and change my mind.

Here's one of the cards I came up with but didn't use.  I think we'll put it aside for Cards for Troops next year.  What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't leave it too late to get your Christmas cards organised!

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

Our Christmas Stamp-a-Stack is always very popular. Customers love getting a bunch of Christmas cards ready to go.

Here's what we made:

I call this one "An Old Fashioned Christmas" - the sentiment and words go well together I think.

We used the Home For Christmas DSP and the Cup of Cheer stamp set.

This one was super simple using DSP in different shapes.  Again, we used the Home for Christmas DSP.

Next was our nativity card...  You can't quite see the detail of the Winter Wonderland Vellum at the bottom.

So here's a close up...

And inside...

I'll show you the last design in the next blog post!

Don't forget to get organised with your Christmas cards ASAP.  December 25th will be here before you know it!

If you wish to order anything let me know by email or by phoning me on 07 55 765 469.

Christmas Charity Day

We held our fourth annual Christmas Charity Day on the Gold Coast on November 7th.  It was our most successful fundraiser to date.

We had 26 ladies attend.  Along with our raffle with prizes donated by Stampin' Up! we had a Christmas Card Competition and a name tag competition.

It's a fantastic day for a good cause:  we raise money to fund our Footprint Cards programme at the Gold Coast University Hospital and now....John Flynn Hospital.

The space...  Genesis at Carrara allows us to use their space for FREE!

The goodie bags...everyone received a bag containing their kit.

The raffle... we were well supplied with prizes donated by Stampin' Up!

The food.....

Nanna Marg.... runs the kitchen.  It's not just the food she prepares...it's the smiling face and warm hugs that she gives.  Here she is with Blake, who now wants to be known as Poppa Blake.

The team...  Couldn't do it without these lovely people who pitch in and help in all sorts of ways, before, during and after.

The customers... four tables of keen crafters! (Sorry Peta - caught you napping!)

Previously with a similar number of people we have raised around $500.  This year we broke a record!

Part of each person's cost for the day is the catering budget.  Genesis and Nanna Marg donate that back to us! Thank you, thank you!

Combined totals of raffle, donations, Christmas Card Competition and the Genesis donation reached $741!

This will be used to continue supplying Footprint Cards at Gold Coast University Hospital and John Flynn Hospital.  We are also planning to create some kits for John Flynn to use in the rehabilitation of patients.  And maybe some kits for the children's wards to use also.

And we have a box ready already:  this set of Footprint Cards was made throughout the year and we have this box ready to go.  I will be delivering it to John Flynn Hospital tomorrow.

Stay tuned - we will be having some free workshops next year to prepare these kits and make more Footprint Cards.

Thanks to everyone who attended, helped and contributed from afar!

Thanks for stopping by!

Kangaroos and a great deal

Apologies for being absent from blogland.  I am still not able to load photos onto my new laptop and then find them again!  I hope to have this problem solved soon.  I need to give everyone an update on our charity day and pictures are always a help!

In the meantime - we have had a wonderful weekend in Melbourne at Stampin' Up!s first ever global event: demonstrators from around the world meeting simultaneously to see the upcoming Occasions catalogue and Sale-a-Bration offerings.

We can't show any pics yet but will soon!

In the meantime I thought I would show you my contribution.  We were asked to submit photos of us sharing our love of Stampin' Up! with others and the photos had to include something to indicate what country we were from.  Do you think these fit the bill?

This week we have 20% off selected stamp sets.

Click HERE to check them out.

Shop online or email me at wheatonanna@hotmail.com or phone 07 55 765 469.

These deals are available until Friday!

Thanks for stopping by!
