Eastern Palace - I Love You More Each Day

In my team meeting recently I showed the ladies the new Eastern Medallion Thinlits Dies from Stampin' Up®.  If you love crafty play, these are so much fun.  Our make and take for the meeting is pictured below.

I kept telling the ladies that the dies were so much fun by themselves, even without playing with the stamps!

Well since then, I have had a play with the stamps...

There are 21 stamps which can be combined with one another to make different patterns.  Have I said that they are fun??

I have combined two new In Colors - Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst for a fun contrast!  (See - that word 'fun again!)

During May, there are two bundle options available -  you can't buy things separately until the new catalogue.

There's the Eastern Palace Starter Bundle for $104.75 with FREE Very Vanilla Notecards and Envelopes (a new product).  And there are STICKERS!!  Please note that this bindle does not include the dies.

And the Eastern Palace Premier Bundle for $178.25 with FREE pack of thick Very Vanilla cardstock and Very Vanilla C6 envelopes (two more new products).  And there are TASSELS and STICKERS!!

And you may have spotted three new In Colours in these bundles - Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig.

If you are interested in the nitty gritty details of each bundle, please click on my ONLINE STORE for more.

Thanks for stopping by!

I Am In Trouble

I recently ran a class that was daytime only and masculine cards.  Everyone wants masculine cards, I have discovered and my night time ladies were sad to miss out.  So I am scheduling a class in June for more masculine cards.

In the meantime, here is what we made.

I run classes five times a month on the Gold Coast!  Check my class schedule in the classes tab at the top of the blog - I update it regularly.

Come and get inky!!

Congratulations Peta!

One of my team members has reached the title of Bronze Elite!!

This is a sales milestone and as Peta works full time in a non Stampin' Up!®, a pretty special one to achieve!

For Bronze acheivers, I like to give them something as close to bronze as possible, so this card is made using our Copper Foil and Copper Embossing Powder.  The 'congrats' is made using Black Glimmer Paper.

The enamel dots are silver but I have coloured them with a brown Sharpie to give them a copper look.  That doily is made using the Eastern Medallions Thinlits.  These are SO much fun to play with.  They will be in the new catalogue but you can purchase them NOW as part of a bundle.  Details are below.

If you would like to join my team I would love to have you and creatively inspire you!  My team consists of mostly hobby demonstrators - you are welcome to join just for the great discount (20% with the possibility of MORE!) on all your products.  If you want to try to sell to others I can help you with that too!

You could even buy the Eastern Palace Starter Bundle as part of your starter kit.  Join for $169 and get $250 of products and free postage on your kit!

Stampin' Up!® Jar of Love

Last week we had our Jar of Love class.  This is one of my favourite sets from Stampin' Up!® and I wanted to show the ladies all the different ways to use it.

There are many fab videos on YouTube with Jar of Love ideas.  This card is from a tutorial by Dena Rekow.  It's a great mixture of stamping and cut outs.

This one uses the swirl cut out from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. The Jar of Love flowers are stamped and cut out and arranged on top.  The FOR YOU is also from the Jar of Love set.  It has a gazillion stamps (well...37!)

There are a few versions of this card online but my inspiration was from The Crafty Owl.  We watercoloured on Shimmer White then stamped over.  The stars are white gel pen.

I wanted to make a couple of cards showing the ladies how effective the negative of the die can be.  Using the Mini Treat Bags we cut a hole in the front with the medium sized jar and then put an acetate square in behind it to make a window.  There's a fish in the jar...

But if you slide the card out, there's a lot of fish.

And even though this is not using the Jar of Love stamps or dies, I HAD to have everyone make this cutie.  This is a beautiful card I saw on Instagram.  Isn't it cute??

To finish off the class, I had a lucky door prize using the Jar of Love framelits.

Jar of Love is carrying over into the next catalogue but NOT as a bundle with the discounted price.  If you love it and would love to buy it, let me know!  OR head straight to my online store.

Sneek Peek er Punch....Stampin' Up!® Daisy Punch

For you lovers of punches, Stampin' Up!® is bringing in some beautiful new punches.  Punches are great - they are easy to use and are quick for adding another dimension to your cards.

I saw a version of this card online, made by Tandra Boyer, and had to CASE.  I can only take credit for the colour choice!!

This card combines the Beautiful You stamp set with a punch called Daisy (and yes, there is a stamp set to match!)

I fell in love with the petal skirt and its layers.  So clever.  And the Rhinestone waist!  I covered the petals with Wink of Stella, which also helped to smoosh the ink around a bit.  I have since seen another version with vellum petals as another layer!

There's a New Kid in Town

Our new catalogue comes out in June but Stampin' Up!® has released a suite early with incentives to purchase in May.

I haven't had much time to play with it but did so today and it is quite a unique set!

It has 14 dies, and you can swap them around to create different combinations.  And there is a beautiful stamp set also.  Here's a little video intro.

So far, I have made a teeny tiny bundle of four note cards.  No stamping yet....just dies.  So much potential.

During May, there are two bundle options available -  you can't buy things separately until the new catalogue.

There's the Eastern Palace Starter Bundle for $104.75 with FREE Very Vanilla Notecards and Envelopes (a new product).  And there are STICKERS!!

Succulent Bundle from Stampin' Up!®

Our Australia's Biggest Morning Tea on Saturday raised a fantastic $525 for the Cancer Council.

We had great feedback on the projects we made.  The cost included a pack of Succulent Garden DSP and Sweet Sugarplum Ribbon and from these, the projects were born.  Here's what we made.

Our Stamp Cases are wonderful to decorate with DSP.

And they are the perfect size to fit a set of cards.  These cards were all made to the same format = a piece of DSP on the front which was cut then one part flipped over.  And by making six cards, we could mix and match the pieces.  It was a great way to show everyone how to achieve variety in their cards.

Using DSP on the envelope flaps was a great way to compliment the cards.

The ladies got to experiment with watercolouring pencils by colouring in the succulent images to decorate some gift tags..

I loved walking around and looking at the different colouring in styles of the ladies.

We made up two cute gift card holders.

And decorated a couple of 3D items for gift giving....or keeping.

This egg carton was sprayed with reinker and Rubbing Alcohol.

If you like any of the projects and want to purchase the products they are still available either through my online store or by contacting me.

And if you would like to continue with your crafting, don't forget that I run classes from my home!  My timetable for May is 'up' on my website and you can have a look by clicking HERE.

And to see more pics of the day, and the results of moneys raised, click HERE.

Australia's Biggest Morning Tea

We had a fabulous day on Saturday.

44 ladies gathered at Genesis Church at Carrara to craft the day away, while raising money for the Cancer Council.

I have a bunch of pics gathered from phones, emails, texts and cameras so they are a bit of a mish mash and some are fuzzy, but you get the idea!

We used the So Succulent stamp set, so this was the greeting at the door.

Name tags in the colours of Cancer Council.

Plenty of displays for inspiration.

Stampin' Up! generously donates a box of retired goodies for events such as this so our raffle was SPECTACULAR!

I have a fantastic team who pitch in to run the tables!  Jenny in full swing.

Angela with her very full table!

Caroline - enthusiasm and concentration, all in one.

Nadene and her ladies.

Peta's people....(there are some on the left!)

And Nanna Marg - we can't have an event without her!  Thanks Nanna Marg for keeping us refreshed to craft the day away!

Lots of fun times to be had when friends craft with friends.

Our raffle raised a fantastic $525 for the Cancer Council!  Thanks Stampin' Up! and thanks everyone for buying tickets.  We even had a queue to purchase.

We will be having another charity day in October - date to be announced soon.

Stop by my blog again for pics of the projects and lucky door prizes.

Thanks for stopping by!
