Botanical Gardens Notecards

Every now and then I put together a bunch of these notecards.  Made the size of a quarter of an A4 and of cardboard, they are nice to have on hand for a quick note.  Using Whisper White for the main part of the card provides a beautiful smooth writing surface.
These showcase a couple of new products:  the Botanical Builder Framelit Dies (lovely even without the stamp set)  and the Botanical Gardens DSP.

These will be available in the upcoming Occasions Catalogue starting January 5th.

Thanks for stopping by! Once the catalogue goes live, I will be able to provide product links to my posts!

Glitter in a pen!

We have a product coming that is one of those ones you know everyone will want.  It's the Wink of Stella Brush Pen and it makes applying glitter soooo easy.

I have used it to glitter up the Expressions Natural Elements for these cards.  Just brush it on, wait a little while and it's done.

And yes, that is a new stamp set you see:  Timeless Textures has nine images to overlap and combine for that grungy vintage look.

Here's the pen - available in gold and clear for $14 each.

And here's how it changes the wooden letters.  Easy.  Won't it be great for Christmas???

If you would like to have a play with it, I am having a launch of the new catalogues at my house in Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast.
Saturday January 30th, $15, two sessions 9.30 till 11.30 OR 2 till 4.

Email me if you would like to come along at wheatonanna@hotmail.com

Lib's Card - Memories in the Making

Here's another samples using the beautiful Memories in the Making set.  It's a photopolymer set, so lining things up is a breeze.

I made this card for a friend's special birthday.  She is more arty than flowery so I hope this fits the bill.

The Brights sequins were an important addition to make this card festive!  This is where the Fine Tip Glue Pen comes in very handy - and for gluing the 'happy'.

I can't give you a link to the stamp set because it isn't available for ordering yet but the rest of the products are listed below.

Christine's Gift

In my last post I showed you card I received from customers.  Here's a quick post to show you a beautiful basket given to me by a customer.

It's a beautiful little basket holding six Ferrero Rocher chocolates which we haven't eaten yet!!!

I think this is a design we will have to try in a future class.

Packaging at the ready

One of the fun things about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is that I have all the goodies on hand to pretty up a present.  (My son doesn't understand why school friends don't have cardboard at the ready for school projects.)

I packaged up some gifts for mailing and while the reindeer paper isn't SU!, everything else is.

I wrapped the presents in the brown paper that protects our orders then created a belly band with the reindeer paper.  It looked a little bare so I added our rhinestones to each reindeer nose.  Did you know that you can colour our rhinestones with a sharpie?

My dilemma then became how to protect the rhinestones.

Our gusseted cello bags came to my rescue.  Tied up with our silver ribbon and with a tag added, created using the Ornate Tag Topper Punch.

Easy peasy.

A sneak peek

This is a Congratulations card going out to my niece who is graduating from primary school this week.  It uses a new set in the upcoming Occasions catalogue which starts on January 5th.

The balloons are from Balloon Builder - coming soon and the Congrats is from Bravo - a most excellent set available NOW in the Annual catalogue.

I thought the sequins added a nice festive touch - the Brights Sequin Assortment.

SAVE THE DATE!!!!!  I will be having a catalogue launch on Saturday January 30th.  9.30 till 11 or 2 till 4.  Write it on your calendar!

A Special Gift

My son has a fantastic piano teacher.  Her lessons are great and she is very patient.  AND she has two cats.

When I was in Melbourne for Stampin' Up!s Onstage, I saw the perfect present.  This tea towel was at the hand made markets and was covered in piano cats. Catianos?

Stampin' Up!s Tag a Bag Boxes were the perfect solution to the wrapping dilemma.  These are so useful to have in a drawer because they are so easy to dress up.

The acetate sleeve has been run through the Big Shot using the Large Polka Dot Impressions Folder.  Then I made a belly band with Cherry Cobbler cardstock and some Home for the Holidays DSP.  The tag is cut from Very Vanilla using the Chalk Talk Framelits and tied on with Mossy Meadow ribbon.

A wrap up.

A short post today!

If you have bits of DSP lying around at home, dig it out and use it on your Christmas gifts.

Here I have wrapped a soap in brown paper then added a band of the Home For Christmas DSP.  Co-ordinating Mossy Meadow ribbon tops it off.

Last Gasp - Part 2.

Here are the other two projects we made in our last class of the year.

Did you know that Stampin' Up!s Café bags are food safe?  That makes them ideal for bagging up Christmas cookies, rum balls etc.

We decorated one by running it through the Big Shot using the Boughs and Berries Embossing Folder.  Then we added Christmas bling!

And our last project was a cute Elf Fry box.  Christmas is all about shiny stuff so the red collar is made with our Red Foil.

Do you like that belt buckle?  The two punches used to make that are retired but BOTH are on sale in the Clearance Rack!  Look for the Petite Curly Label Punch and the Little Labels Punch Pack.

For a lucky door prize, I wrapped some chocolates to go inside the boxes. Sorry the pic is fuzzy.  I can't retake it because I have given the prize away!

But I can show you the elf hat close up.  I found this on Becky Roberts' blog.

The hat is made using the Christmas Tree Punch, the green is hand cut and the ears are the Bird Builder Punch.  They are glued onto one of our Stampin' Up! Wooden Clothespins.

Last gasp - my last class of the year

The final class for the year was a Christmas bags and boxes class.  Thanks to everyone who came along!  And thanks for bringing Christmas goodies.

These cute Gift Card holders were designed by another Aussie demonstrator, Clare Daly.  Easy to make and you can get three of the bases out of an A4 sheet.

The belly band slips off to reveal the gift card!

And these were a pleaser..   We used the Curvy Keepsake die to cut out our Plum Pudding bases in Early Espresso.  I had already cut out the Very Vanilla panels then the ladies cut the custard drips out freehand.  It's amazing how the drips varied.

The holly leaves were pre-prepared using an electronic cutter and the berries were punched out of red glimmer paper!

Super Simple Christmas idea

Here's a really easy way to make a bunch of Christmas gifts - you know when you want a small gift that is not too expensive?

I made these for my ladies attending the final class for the year.

These are paper tubes made out of DSP, stapled at each end, then embellished with all things Christmas.

I used the Season of Cheer DSP and our cute Reindeer Paper Clips along with the Real Red Pom Pom Trim.

Cut your DSP to suit the size of the treat.  I bought these Santas at Coles.

Merry

Here's the third card we made in our Stamp-a-Stack.

An easy combination of Big Shot tricks and simple stamping.  Unfortunately I am showing you a card using three sets of retired stamps!  So don't love it too much.  See?  I saved you money!

Whenever I am getting a class ready, the hardest part is coming up with the designs.  I swap ideas, throw things out and change my mind.

Here's one of the cards I came up with but didn't use.  I think we'll put it aside for Cards for Troops next year.  What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't leave it too late to get your Christmas cards organised!

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

Our Christmas Stamp-a-Stack is always very popular. Customers love getting a bunch of Christmas cards ready to go.

Here's what we made:

I call this one "An Old Fashioned Christmas" - the sentiment and words go well together I think.

We used the Home For Christmas DSP and the Cup of Cheer stamp set.

This one was super simple using DSP in different shapes.  Again, we used the Home for Christmas DSP.

Next was our nativity card...  You can't quite see the detail of the Winter Wonderland Vellum at the bottom.

So here's a close up...

And inside...

I'll show you the last design in the next blog post!

Don't forget to get organised with your Christmas cards ASAP.  December 25th will be here before you know it!

If you wish to order anything let me know by email or by phoning me on 07 55 765 469.
