Fun Raising with the Lorikeet Stampers

 A week ago today many of my team gathered for a 'fun' raiser - a team play day.  I run monthly team meetings but not everyone can attend them for various reasons.  And with Covid restrictions and blah de blah, I felt it was time to gather and have some fun!

The aim of the day was to play with new products and get together!

Everyone received their bag of make and take bits n pieces and a special place setting.  Would you believe that green pouch held denture tablets?? (A team member who works in dentistry donated them and I added the feather!)

The main part of the day was make and takes.

But we also had some games...

This may look like a hostage situation but I assure you it wasn't.  Blind fold stamping took on another dimension when you had to wear a mask as well!

Lots of prizes and gifts being exchanged.

One of the most wonderful things about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is that it provides opportunities to help others. I asked team members to bring along items to donate to Hope in a Suitcase which is a non profit organisation which provides suitcases and contents to children in foster care. The response from my team was overwhelming with team members who couldn’t come donating also.

We were planning to make single sided cards for the organisaton to use but we ran out of time!  That's happening with a small group on Wednesday.

I truly love the friendships I have formed with my team and the activities we run together!

Cactus Cuties

 One of my favourite bundles from the new Stampin' Up!® mini is Cactus Cuties!

It's a beautiful set and stamps beautifully.

This one is simple stamping.  Inks straight onto Basic White.

Using the punch and NO stamping, I made these cacti with patterned Soft Succulent DSP.  The background layer has been run through the Bricks and Mortar Embossing Folder and the Bark Embossing Folder.

Another simple stamping sample - showcasing all three of the cactus plants.

And lastly, I think my favourite: these shapes are fussy cut and added with Dimensional.  The Heart & Home DSP has a variety of wood prints which are a great background for this set.

My Top Three Bundles...or is that four?

 I love so many of the things in the new catalogue.  Our mini catalogues are aimed at avid crafters but there are also plenty of options if you are new to stamping.

Stamps, inks and papers are a great way to start but if you are looking for more - our bundles are the way to go!

I love the bold images in this stamp set - the leave stamps so clearly.  And of course, being able to punch out those wings adds quick and easy dimension to your project.

I just played with the Cactus Cuties Bundle this week. It's another stamp set and bundle combination that uses bold images.

The punch can be used for some of the stamp set images but is equally effective on plain cardstock!  And I love the teeny flower which adds a pop of colour.

Favourite number three is the Rainbow of Happiness Bundle - consisting of dies and stamps.  Who doesn't love a bright and cheery rainbow?

There is so much potential with this set with its positive messages, rainbow shaped arches and matching dies (with clouds!)  I look forward to showing you lots of samples.

We are all familiar with the fact that there are worldwide shipping delays - evident even in the grocery stores. Stampin' Up! has not escaped from shipping delays either (although we would like to think that craft items would have priority at the borders!)

All three of the bundles above are available to buy NOW (Yippeee!) but my next favourite has not arrived in Australia yet. 

Maybe it's my love of rainbows and all things associated with rain, maybe it's our wet Summers here in Queensland but I have this bundle on my must have list.

I can't wait to stamp that watering can, pot and rainboots and then 'plant' some flowers in them.   There is even a tiny seed packet!
