Special Occasions - One card two ways

In a recent class we made some special occasion cards and I wanted to some designs that were vesatile for more than one occasion - not everyone has a wedding round the corner, for example.  Here's what I came up with.  For each card, I thought of three qualities to sum up that style of card.  For a sympathy card, I thought it should be simple and understated, with a return to nature.

Our sympathy card, using the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set was simple and elegant.

I saw a variation on this card using the stamp in a completely different way and I tweeked the design so that we could make this card below.  The original was by LeeAnn Greff.

Stamp:  Thoughts and Prayers
Card:  Bashful Blue, Rose red, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze
Ink:  Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black, Bashful Blue
Tools:  Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack
Accessories:  Basic Pearls, Basic Rhinestones

Thanks for stopping by!
