Crystal Effects Koalas

I have been busy in the last week or two teaching ESL to a visiting Japanese group.  I always try to do a craft component as it is a bit different in style of delivery and breaks up the talking.

This year we tackled making a koala brooch.  This is the little guy - I found the instructions for his parts on Carolyn Bennie's blog.

 

Here is Ema hard at work with the Tombow.

 

 

The girls were proud of their handiwork.

All up there were twenty-two of these little guys.

And of course, there's one in every crowd...well two actually.

 

And I have to show you some cute Japanese pencil cases.

 

My job this weekend is to turn these brooches over and apply Crystal Effects to the back and add a pin!  Great souvenirs for the girls, that they have made themselves.
