We gather together to make Christmas cards which are then bagged together in packs of 10 and sent Australian Soldiers serving overseas.
The ladies were generous in bringing a plate of food as a contribution.
All up I had 16 ladies helping over the course of two and a half hours. Lots of activity goes on. There are plenty of different jobs to do.
We made a total of 223 cards.
Margaret brought along 30 that she had made at home.
And we added 105 cards from Jill. Jill is the mum of one of my team members and customers and she and her crafty friends make a bunch of cards every year. These have come all the way from Perth.
That is a total of 358 cards! Look at them all!
I am hoping to have one more session where we can make some Christmas cards for kids, and package all the cards into their ziplock bags!
To thank the ladies I made them each one of these...
We have been making Cards for Troops since 2011. I am glad I blog each year as I was able to go back and tally up the number of cards we have made.
The grand total is 2135!!
That is a massive effort! Thanks everyone for your contributions.
Thanks for stopping by!
Anna
