The Earrings!

I have had a few people ask how I made the earrings that I wore at Onstage for Stampin' Up!s® 30th anniversary.

They were really easy to whip up - I made three pair; two for team members.

So here goes:

Use the RETIRING! Large Numbers Framelits to cut your numbers.  Remember if you are making earring for a 21st, for example, you need two sets of numbers not one.  (Yup!  Made THAT mistake!)
You need to cut a set in Glimmer Paper and then a bunch in white - I used the white cardboard that comes in the back of the DSP packs.  Whisper White would do; Thick Whisper White would be even better.

Punch two circles out of Acetate Sheets using the 2 1/4" circle punch.

Using a thin smear of Tombow liquid glue, layer the white numbers on top of one another.

This will give your number dimension - like chipboard.

Adhere your glimmer number on top. You'll have a nice thick number.  Do the same with your other numbers.

Use Tombow to adhere your number to the acetate circle.

See how good the thick numbers look??

Punch a small hole at the top of your acetate card.  I added two split rings (from Spotlight) for extra 'dangle' and then an earring hook - also from Spotlight.

If you want the Large Numbers Framelits they are retiring and are available while stocks last.  Come June they will be gone.
