Class number 3 in my Blends Club started with shading and moved to a water-washed effect using Stampin Up ® Blends.
This beautiful elephant from the Wildly Happy stamp set, was coloured using the Gray Granite Blends on a Whisper White panel cut with the Stitched Nested label. We used Gray Granite cardstock base and a layer embossed with the Subtle embossing folder. To break up the gray and add a little interest we added a small piece of vellum in behind the Whisper White layer.
The second card featured an amazing technique by Rochelle Blok, one of the Stampin' up! Artisans. We coloured a piece of acetate with an assortment of brightly coloured Stampin' Blends, and spritzed it with rubbing alcohol. We then sat a piece of white gloss card face down on the coloured acetate. It picks up the colours and dries quickly. No two were alike and they created the perfect background for the butterfly silhouette from the Butterfly Beauty dies.
This last card was 'homework' - a project everyone took home to colour. The beautiful bauble and DSP comes from the Brightly Gleaming Bundle in the Holiday Catalogue. I've used Night of Navy Blends to colour the bauble.
This was the last of my Blends Club for this round. The best way to master Blends is to practice, practice, PRACTICE!!
