Sheltering Trees Part 2 and a thank you for donated money

Last year I ran a class using the stamp set Sheltering Trees.  It was such a success that we did an encore class today, creating brand new cards with new techniques.

We created a frame using the Leaflet Thinlits and sponged through it with Sponge Daubers.

This one uses Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Night of Navy.  The tree is stamped with Black Memento Ink.  Love that sparkly Pool Party Ribbon.

This one was stamped with Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Real Red.  We then used images from the Perpetual Calendar stamp set to stamp into the tree shape, before removing the mask.

The instructions for these beautiful cards can be found in this video created by Tami White, a American Demonstrator.

We then created a slightly different version with spritzing.

Here's my mask - I used it for all three cards.  For the spritzing, I made up a mixture of 20 drops of Delightful Dijon into one of our Stampin' Spritzers and topped it up with rubbing alcohol.  The other colour is Blackberry Bliss which is a fairly intense colour so I used about 10 drops then topped up with rubbing alcohol.

And Pam, one of the ladies from this morning's class just sent through this pic, as it reminded her of the cards we made.  Definitely some spritzing effect there!  Thanks Pam.

The artist is Elke Memmier .

And last but not least we have received a receipt from the Gold Coast Hospital for the money we raised from our raffle at the catalogue launch in January.  $182 donated from you lovely people!  Thanks to everyone who contributed.  We have another launch coming up in June!  Stay tuned!!

If you are interested in my classes I keep an updated timetable HERE.   They are held in my home in Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast!  Email me at wheatonanna@hotmail.com for more details.

Thanks for stopping by!
